My choir - which specialises in singing at charity running events - has been dropped from Sunday's London Marathon. Because I don't believe people can change sex - and said so publicly. We were dropped by the disability charity Scope - who we've supported for the past two years - on the basis of two anonymous complaints. About MY gender critical beliefs. So not only am I being discriminated against due to my lawfully held views - so are other people. After months of preparation ... disappointed is not the word. Suffice to say, if there are any organisations out there who are happy to welcome volunteers with lawfully held beliefs on sex and gender, we'd love to be your 'cheer squad' at Sunday's London Marathon. Our running themed 'set list' is always a hit with runners and we bring fun, enthusiasm and props in spades (hence the 'Eye Of The Tiger' mask). We'd love to help support runners raise money for good causes at this year's London Marathon - as we have done in previous years. My inbox is open: janet@janetmurray.co.uk Link to read the Telegraph article by @Craig_Simpson_ for free below 👇 (gift link).

The Assisted Dying Bill has failed. And I am so glad. I’ve suffered with an eating disorder throughout my life. When I was 15, I was dangerously underweight. On an IV drip in hospital. My organs on the brink of failing. If I had been given the ‘choice’ to die, I would have taken it. MPs removed the parts of the Assisted Dying Bill that were meant to safeguard against coercion and protect vulnerable people. Assisted suicide isn’t only done “when the patient wants it”. Look no further than the countries that have already legalised it. In Spain, a girl who was gang raped and attempted to kill herself was offered euthanasia. She reportedly wanted to back out, but her organs had “already been reserved”. In the Netherlands, 40% of euthanasia deaths occur without patient consent. In Canada, it has been offered to Paralympians who asked for a mobility aid. If it happened there, it would happen here too. People would be killed against their will. The disabled. The mentally ill. Abuse victims. All have been killed by the State under the guise of “compassion”. When you are as mentally ill as I was then, you will do everything in your power to convince those around you that you are well enough to make your own decisions. When your organs are shutting down and every course of treatment has “failed” to fix you, death becomes an attractive option. If I had been given the choice to die, I would’ve taken it. No questions asked. And that’s why the Assisted Dying Bill terrified me. Because when you’re that mentally unwell, you don’t see hope. You see pain, and you want it to end. You’ll do anything to convince the people around you that you’re “of sound mind.” You’ll say whatever it takes to be left alone. But behind those words is an illness doing the talking. If this bill had existed when I was 15, I might not be here. Not because it was the right choice, but because I was sick and exhausted and desperate. I didn’t need a legal route to die. I needed someone to fight for me when I couldn’t. It tells people like the girl I was that death is the easiest option — to relieve your family, the NHS, and yourself of the burden of caring for you — instead of showing them that life can be worth the fight. I survived. I got better. But I may not have. Not if the law had made dying seem easier than recovering. The Assisted Dying Bill didn’t protect people like me. It wrote us off. It was abandonment dressed up as mercy. And I thank God that it failed.

I am proud to be English - always have been, always will be. On St George’s Day, and every other day. Never let anyone tell you that pride in our England is shameful, or something to hide. It is most definitely not. It is noble. It is natural. It is necessary. Our compass and foundation must be our history, and that is a history to be proud of. So why is it that others can celebrate who they are with no guilt, no apologies, no fear? Yet the English are silenced - patronised and insulted, despite everything that we’ve given to this world. I am tired of it. We are all tired of it. So now is the time for English men and women to finally stand up for themselves. To stand up for our history, our culture, our people, our very special way of life. Our home. Because if we don’t, and very soon, then we are all going to lose far more than a debate. We will lose everything. I think of how our country is going to look, feel and be in 50 years, even 10 years, and it fills me with a looming dread. It is not too late to change it, but that point is already recklessly close. We must now fight for the England we wish to pass on to our children and grandchildren. Because patriotism is simply a sense of stewardship, that's how I feel it. The belief that what we inherited matters. And that we have a duty to leave it stronger, safer, wealthier and more prosperous than how we found it. That’s the England I want to pass on. But always remember - the English like to leave it late. We’ve done it before and we’ll do it again. We will Restore Britain, and we will Restore England.

For a while now I have been writing in English on X - and I have recently started doing the same on my biggest platform Facebook. Not because I have abandoned my Danish voice. But because what is happening in Europe is not a Danish problem. It is not a French problem. It is not a Swedish, German or British problem. It is our problem. All of us. At the same time. And you cannot fight a war that crosses every border by only speaking to the people on your own street. This is not an “us” question. It is a “we” question. The same forces are at work across the entire Western world. The same ideology expanding into the same institutions. The same political establishment looking the other way. The same media calling those who speak up racists, extremists, hatemongers. The same silencing. In every language. And behind all of it - something that goes deeper than politics. Deeper than immigration statistics and election results and EU directives. Because what we are really facing is a spiritual battle. A civilization that has cut itself off from its own roots. That removed God from the public square and replaced Him with the state, the screen and the self. That dismantled the family, dissolved the distinction between man and woman, and told an entire generation that freedom means having no obligations to anything larger than yourself. A civilization that weakened itself from within - and is now surprised to find itself vulnerable from without. The forces moving against the West are not only political. They are spiritual. And they will not be defeated by politics alone. That is why I write. In English. To whoever will listen. Because the people who understand what is at stake need to find each other - across languages, across borders, across the noise. We are more than we know. And we are needed.❤️‍🔥🪽✝️

Those cheering on the ‘Online Safety Act’ and the termination of anonymous access to the internet - including all the Tories who not only passed it in the first place but now applaud Starmer’s authoritarianism: you are ushering in an era when the likes of Khan will crush all dissenting speech.

Disinformation about London has become a global industry. The new “outrage economy” is growing - and it’s eating away at the bonds that hold our society together. That's why I'm calling for urgent action from social media companies and government. theguardian.com/media/2026/apr…

Some players arrive at Liverpool with big expectations. A very small few leave as legends…@MoSalah leaves as one of the greatest to ever wear the shirt. I still remember the beginning, the excitement when he signed, the belief that he could be special… but I don’t think any of us could have imagined just how much he would give to this club. Goals, trophies, unforgettable nights at Anfield, and moments that will live forever in the hearts of supporters all over the world. What always struck me most, though, was not just the player, but the man. Humble, relentless, proud to represent Liverpool, and fully aware of what the badge means to millions of people. He carried that responsibility with class every single day. It was a privilege to be there at the start of this journey, and an even greater privilege to watch him light up the pitch along the way. Thank you for everything you gave to Liverpool Football Club, on and off the pitch. You will always be part of the family, and your place in the history of this club is secure forever. A true legend. ❤️👑🇪🇬

🚨BRITISH BISHOP TELLS KING CHARLES: "𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗨𝗣 𝗢𝗥 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗡'𝗦 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗥." These were the words of Bishop Ceirion Dewar in a letter that has now been seen by TWO MILLION people on social media The letter is as follows: "I cannot remain silent while the Christian foundations of this kingdom are steadily dismantled. " "Christian belief is mocked in the public square. Christian morality is dismissed as intolerance. Christian institutions are pressured to surrender doctrine in order to conform to the ideology of the age" "You may preside over the quiet dissolution of Britain's Christian identity. Or you may rise to the ancient responsibility entrusted to the Crown and speak with clarity about the faith that built this kingdom. The first path requires little courage. The second will require a great deal. But it is the path that history honours." "This is not a fringe voice crying in the wilderness. This letter landed because millions of British Christians recognize the reality it describes. A civilization built over a thousand years on a specific set of beliefs, institutions, and moral foundations is being systematically stripped of that identity and the people charged with defending it have, largely, watched in silence." "If Christianity is cast aside, the nation will discover too late that it has severed itself from the very roots that sustained it." Well said It's time our King stood up for our country once again Or if not, we need a better King to take his place

Too many are too polite to say this. But mass ritual prayer in public places is an act of domination. The adhan - which declares there is no god but allah and Muhammad is his messenger - is, when called in a public place, a declaration of domination. Perform these rituals in mosques if you wish. But they are not welcome in our public places and shared institutions. And given their explicit repudiation of Christianity they certainly do not belong in our churches and cathedrals. I am not suggesting everybody at Trafalgar Square last night is an Islamist. But the domination of public places is straight from the Islamist playbook. Trafalgar Square belongs to all of us. It is a national memorial to our independence and our salvation. Last night was not like a televised football match or a St Patrick’s Day celebration. It was an act of domination and therefore division. It shouldn’t happen again.

MPs have been warned that defendants of ‘good character’ will be denied a jury trial under Lammy’s reforms. The House of Commons Justice Select Committee has held its first evidence session on the Courts and Tribunals Bill, which includes measures to restrict our ancient right to jury trials. Former Law Society President Richard Atkinson told MPs: ‘If you are a heavily convicted person, you’re likely to get a longer sentence and will get a jury trial. If you’re a person of good character with the same set of facts, you may find yourself not facing a sentence as long and you will not get a jury trial. The loss of character, the impact on your employment and ability to hold yourself high in your local community is really important, but that’s not going to be a factor in determining allocation’. FSU research shows that those charged with speech-related offences are almost twice as likely to be found not guilty in a Crown Court with a jury than in a magistrates’ court without one. 📣🚨 The Free Speech Union is mounting a legal challenge against the Government over its official definition of Islamophobia — now repackaged as 'anti-Muslim hatred' — and its appointment of a new 'tsar' to punish people who fall foul of it. This amounts to a Muslim blasphemy law via the back door. The definition is vague and subjective, and will be weaponised to silence legitimate criticism and debate about Islam, Muslims, and Islamic practices and history. The FSU’s General Secretary, Lord Young of Acton, said: “This is the most serious threat to free speech the Government has come up with so far — the only area in which it’s achieving any success. “If we don’t win this fight, tens of thousands of people a year could lose their jobs at the say-so of a Labour-appointed ‘tsar’. It’s dystopian.” Public bodies will adopt this definition — despite it being non-statutory — with the same zeal the police have shown in investigating and recording non-crime hate incidents (NCHIs). It is predicted by one of the drafters of the definition that it could lead to around 20,000 reports of 'anti-Muslim hostility' a year. At present, the number of recorded anti-Muslim hate crimes is around 4,000. In a free society, no religion should be shielded from legitimate criticism. This proposal places one faith above the rest. The Free Speech Union is bringing a legal challenge on two grounds. First, the definition relies on nebulous, legally undefined terms such as “negative and prejudicial stereotyping of Muslims”, making it incoherent and irrational — and ripe for weaponisation. Second, adopting such a definition cuts across legislation already enacted by Parliament and therefore breaches the public law principle known as “occupying the field”. Under this established public law doctrine, new regulations, put in place by ministers, must not replace existing legislation. It is constitutionally unlawful. In this case, the body responsible for protecting Muslims from discrimination is the Equality and Human Rights Commission, not an anti-Muslim hostility 'tsar'. Parliament voted to abolish blasphemy laws 18 years ago. We can't let this Government resurrect them via the back door. This is one of the biggest battles the Free Speech Union has ever taken on in its six years — and we need your help. Judicial reviews are expensive, but this is a fight we felt we had to take on. “No point buying a closing down Church - nobody wants to go to them anyway….” 🤡 Yes, many churches are closing down, but often not because people don't want to go. It's because they can't afford to keep them open. I’ve had hundreds of messages from Churches in this position. So, what I will do is rent my Church out for free to a Church. I’ll also allow homeless outreach projects to operate there so they can have a greater impact on the community. Plus, statistics show a revival is beginning among the younger generation here in the UK. I just believe there's so much good that churches do. Seeing them get closed down and replaced with developments doesn't feel right - a beautiful church building deserves better.

Let's save our Great British Churches from being sold off and used for profit. We are hoping to outbid the developers and save a Church down the road from where I grew up. I’ve put in a cash offer to prevent it from being shut down and converted into flats. To those asking how they can donate to the cause, I don’t want any money. I want you to attend Church on Sunday and donate to your local Church. #christian #jesus #propertyinvestor
