We live fairly rural. No one on my side of the road for a mile in either direction and only one house across the street. He’s a crotchety old man. 3 years ago he asked for a price to seal his driveway. I gave him the friends and family discount. He said it was too much and spent a whole day doing it himself. (I could do it with better material in about two hours) Today he pulled in my drive and got out of his truck and asked if I’d seal his driveway and if the price was still the same. My prices have gone up significantly but for my neighbor who I barely know the price is still the same. I imagine it was rather hard for him to ask. You can tell he’s becoming frail, said he’s now on oxygen most of the time. Never hurts to still be neighborly to your neighbor.

She could have had a nicer tone. She came off as a complete b1tch about it. I think had she had a tone of, “Oh hey, thanks for my mail, would you mind not cutting across the grass?” I wouldn’t say it’s common sense. I don’t do it, because it was drilled into me by the military, but I see people cut across lawns all the time. But truly, she was a jerk about it, and could have been nicer.

Yeah I lease my car and they told me when I bring it back that I'll get charged for a new battery for the start stop. Even though I never use it lol. I wonder if I did use it if over the 3 years would it have saved me enough in gas to justify the 300 the dealership wants to replace it when I bring it back lol.

@pcosprincess22 That’s horrible. My MIL was supposed to watch my oldest while I was in labor with baby 2 and she called while I was laboring & asked if someone else could do it bc she wanted to go hang out with her friends that night.

My MIL is supposed to watch my daughter when I go into the hospital. I literally have no family that can do it. She knows she’s the one I trust that lives near us. She is already making excuses for what may happen like she can’t do it on a work day?? So I have to either go into labor now or tomorrow morning or wait till next weekend as if that’s how it works. Mind you she’s literally taken the day off to drive 45-1 hr away to watch my husbands brother’s kids for a day…

@EdwardBrode @Demeter_Erinia We used AAA to plan our trip route and then they provided maps and guides. Milestone was the epic travel guide and map for the Alaskan Highway.

@Demeter_Erinia Maps, lots of maps. Our family car had up to 8 or so maps in order to drive around the South, one for each state and some for individual cities like New Orleans, Mobile and San Antonio.

Serious question… How did people get to places before GPS??

Best mini-trail bike ever! If you had one of these Honda Trail mini bikes, you had a great childhood. They were so much fun and so reliable. They are now very sought after and restored ones fetch a pretty penny in todays market. I am kicking myself for selling mine many years ago.
