Worldviews/ Visions are important because they determine what your values, your motivations, and a lot of what TRIGGERS you.
If you are serious about golf or any other sport, a missed shot will have different meanings, depending on the vision you have for your game.
Turns out there are only so many worldviews people use to make sense of the world.
Check out my substack (see X bio for the link)
English

It's worth asking: which worldview am I playing from?
Not so you can label yourself...
So you can stop trying mental game approaches that were never built for how you're wired.
So you can better understand your motivations and triggers and do something about them.
See the updated link to this substack series in my bio.

I'm Dr. Douglas Tataryn, a registered psychologist, with 30+ years of experience as a researcher and clinician and 50 years of experience with meditation.
I applied the academic framework of Spiral Dynamics in a raw and experiential way, to golf, in my Fairways of the Mind series.
The series is written to a mirror, for you, the serious golfer, so that you can see how your (unconscious) worldview may be limiting your golf game
English

Most mental game content assumes every golfer is wired the same.
They're not.
Besides our unique Accidental Conditioned History (ACH: which I won't talk about right now)
A framework called Spiral Dynamics maps out different worldviews — and each one has totally different motivations, stress triggers, and responses to coaching.

@AaronGunn The liberals have developed their own specialized language of speaking words without saying anything. It helps mask their agenda to destroy Canada in the name of World needs and implement their draconian agendas on its people. Look to the UK now to see where we will be soon
English

Wow. This is the most surreal exchange I’ve ever had in Canada’s Parliament.
It’s obvious the Liberals are desperately trying to cover up what their blind allegiance to the UN’s 30x30 agenda actually means.
Instead of refusing to answer questions, the Liberal Minister needs to stop deflecting and tell fishermen, their families and Canada’s coastal communities the truth.
English

@liberal_party Another traitor joins the party that sold Canada out to the WEF elites. Canada is well on its way to becoming a 3rd world country now.
English

@CharlesMullins2 Yes the guy who posted about the red and blue chalk really takes the spookiness out of it. For me, the bizarre implication of relativity is that a photon travelling at the speed of light does not experience time.
Everything, everywhere, all at once, kind of eternal moment.
English

🚨
Two particles.
No connection.
Separated by space.
Change one… the other responds instantly.
Physics calls it “entanglement.”
But here’s the deeper idea:
Maybe they were never separate to begin with.
What we call “distance” might just be how we perceive relationships in time.
Not two objects…
one structure.
And if that’s true
space isn’t fundamental.
Follow if you want to see reality from a completely different angle.

@PhilMickelson Sorry to hear this Phil, for whatever you and your family are going through, and that you won't be playing. It's always better with Phil!

@GrantHorvatGolf Pitching wedge and 8 iron. I turn to them more than I should lol, but I have a bunch of partial shots wired in!
English

@dom_lucre It's actually a fairly common experience for deep emotions to be released when long-standing muscle tension gets released. Many massage therapists and deep tissue workers all report this phenomenon. Coming to understand why was one of reasons I pursued my degree in psychology.

@PeterSantenello Great set up. We live on 5 acres and have been moving towards an off-grid lifestyle. We also have very hard water and found this to be a lifesaver. No more using 50 to 100 lbs of salt a month to get soft water

He Built a Better Way to Live Off-Grid (40 Acres)
In recent years, more people have been moving out to the countryside to live a more self-sustaining life. But going fully off-grid isn’t easy, and often turns into a full-time job. Today we head out to Doc’s 40-acre setup—a kind of off-grid 2.0. He’s connected to the world, but with a flip of a switch and a close of the gate, he’s good on his own for up to two years. Join us as we show you around this sweet setup in rural Georgia.

@Michphil1998 I can not figure this out either. And anytime I try and point one of these factors out, I am met with an onslaught of counter-narratives that are impossible to to puch back against. I am very sad for my childen and grand-children and how we are becoming slowly boiled frogs.
English

As a middle class Canadian citizen I’m simply shocked that other Canadians can’t see what’s happening here.
How do you not see the adult immigrants working the jobs our youth used to hold?
How do you not look around when out in public and see the massive amounts of foreigners wearing foreign garb and speaking foreign languages?
How do you not see the prices of groceries and realize that your dollar no longer has any purchasing power?
How do you not fuel up and see the cost of fuel increasing due to taxes that if removed would make fuel affordable again?
How do you not see the secondary CPP on your paycheque that generations before us weren’t forced to pay?
How do you not see the excessive control the government is trying to take via the bills they’re currently discussing and passing?
How do you not see the corruption, ethics violations and laws being broken by politicians, their family and friends with ZERO accountability and justice never being handed out?
How do you not see the corrupt justice system who panders to foreigners allowing them to commit crimes on Canadian soil with almost zero punishment to protect their immigration status?
How do you not see a justice system we were promised was blind hand lenient sentences based solely on race?
How do you not see the billions sent to foreign countries, on illegal migrants and people who hate Canada?
How do you not see the increase in homeless people on our streets, the increase in drug addictions and the degradation of society?
How do you not see that our education and healthcare systems have been decimated due to mass immigration?
HOW CAN YOU LIVE HERE AND NOT SEE THE TRUTH ALL AROUND YOU?
English

This is exactly the insight I had and tried to share on this post (see the 3rd sentence) but no one seemed to appreciate that nuance. The slowing down of the arms as they get close to the ball is a very important part of "whipping" the club into high speed zones.

Bryson Dechambeau’s Eureka moment for his swing🔥🤯
“It needs to stop so that the handle can turn over and go through”
If you’re going to whip someone with a towel, you don’t focus on going forward, that’s a given, you have to focus on pulling back at the end so send the energy to the tip of the whip, or to deliver the golf head or barrel💪
