Damaged spacewalking glove. The Space Station gets bombarded by space rocks and debris, and is covered with small, sharp impact scars. It's easy to snag your glove on one. We pause every 45 minutes (at sunrise or sunset) to inspect for new tears. Fortunately this one didn't get through the glove's tough hide to the rubber pressure layer. Just in case, we have a small, 6000 psi backup tank to feed a leak until we get back to the airlock and plug into ship's oxygen.

@_sorrengailll in most states it’s illegal to record without the other person knowing. and, if you record a call without the other person knowing in those states, that call can’t be used as evidence in court, making it pointless. it protects both you and the other person

Why does Apple announce LOUD AF that you’re recording a call? That defeats the purpose of being able to protect yourself with a recording

@dccommonsense @Pjlecy I think when you're on a quest to eradicate, another culture and that defines your whole reason for existence. And then just say you want to seek nuclear weapon weapons is not acceptable.

Any country that lead by a group who reasonably to be suspected to use nuclear weapons more than just deterrence should be disarmed. If that means by force over and over again that's fine.

I would say if it's more than five hours, I would consider flying. Tips for staying awake? Metallica, Journey, REO Speedwagon, or whatever loud music you like.😊 I have also listened to lectures from the Great Courses website. This works if it's an interesting topic. A 5-10 minute power nap at a rest stop can help too.

@saitama_5992 Not at all. A government should prioritize it's citizens first. There could be some exceptions, but directionally the Japanese government should be for Japanese people.

I'd like to ask people overseas: Is it strange for Japanese people to advocate for "Japanese First"? Is it wrong to ask your own government to prioritize its own citizens?

@pirooooon3 I enjoyed this fact the most when I visited Japan. I left my laptop in Starbucks and ran up to my hotel room to get something. I would never think of doing this in the US or Europe.

I realized the same thought when I visited Japan for the first time in 2024. While the U.S. won WW2 I felt like Japan won something better. Beautiful modern cities blending with nature and bullet trains crossing the country. We explored Tokyo for several days & I never once worried about my safety. I left my laptop at Startbucks to run and get something from my hotel room. I would never do such things in the U.S. or Europe.

🇯🇵 I often see endless third world resentment toward the West and feel only pity. Hiroshima & Nagasaki were destroyed by atomic bombs. We lost everything. We didn't scream about trauma or demand endless reparations. We rebuilt. Today these cities are beautiful. So, drop the victimhood. Stop blaming history. Change and build something or otherwise get used to being disliked.

I find it weird that Elon didn't mention NASA's Artemis II mission at all, despite posting quite a lot on other topics. He keeps saying space exploration is super-important to him. So does he really care about human missions to space, or is it only when it's a SpaceX program?

@piers_J_morgan @tonyblackburn Artemis three will be a Leo test of docking and maneuvering with the lander.

The next mission will land on the moon. This is just part of the phased process. Initially launch unmanned craft, then manned, orbit the earth, then manned orbit the moon, then land on the moon. It's a safety feature to make sure they can keep these brave astronauts alive and bring them home.

I remember watching the first man on the moon landing some 50years ago which was very exciting as this new mission is. Can anyone tell me why it is that they are not actually going to land on the moon but circle round it. It’s not a criticism I’m just interested to know why they are not actually going to land on the moon.
