@EKUdining it’s 4:56 pm in Stratton. Classes go until at least 7 pm here, some go till 9 pm. Cafeteria closed hours ago. What’s up with this? We’re hungry.

@UPS has been holding a shipment for four days. Can’t file a claim because it’s “in transit.” Can’t reach a human because we live in a dystopia. So really no choice left but to blast them here. @UPS why won’t you deliver my items?

@Paramedic425 I don’t understand the question. There would be as many Paramedic Practitioners as there are people who choose to go to Paramedic Practitioner school.

@DownToFifer I get that, hence the attempt to create the level, I guess I’m asking is; once created is there a certain number of providers with the graduate level Paramedicine degree? I know it’s only offered in a limited number of places

A few months ago, the National EMS Advisory Council (NEMSAC) adopted a proposal calling for the establishment of Paramedic Practitioners. Though a public document, finding it online is difficult. Here it is in full: drive.google.com/file/d/10GgfCd…

@DownToFifer Just for argument sake, what kind of numbers at this point? I get the whole pathway it will create but how many “Paramedic Practitioners” currently posses said Graduate Level degree? EMS in the US still can’t agree if 911 Paramedics should have an Associate Degree

@txsportsdoc I have a lot of thoughts about this, which are mixed. But I do think it is deeply ironic that a DO is taking this kind of stance- DO’s famously having to fight against a stigma thrust upon them by MDs of being less qualified.

Mass General going to allow full practice authority to NPs, but not PAs. Tell me who has the stronger lobbying group. None should practice apart from a supporting physician. Does everyone see what’s happening? We r going to let midlevels practice without oversight and we heard this week consideration to allowing FMGs to get licensed and practice. We limited residency spots, created an artificial physician shortage so we can usher in the practice of medicine by NPs(who say they don’t practice medicine) and FMGs without passing any US residency,USMLE. Insured to be we wanted the best and brightest caring for us,apparently not anymore.

Only the most recent time that @gallsconnect has sent me an unhemmed pair of pants. The other pants in the same order were hemmed, as ordered. Over the many years that my employers have outfitted me from Galls, this has happened many many times.

To address the Hospital #WallTimeDelay for @BCFREMS, we implemented a method for our EMTs and Paramedics to report the delay in real time. Once they submit the delay, a text message is sent to my admin staff and the hospital executives (not the ED staff). What Have We Learned? 1. The hospital administrators do indeed care about wall times. When they get the text, they walk down to the ED. 2. The ED staff DOES NOT like this new text alert process because it alerts the C-Suite. 3. Our personnel love it and are very appreciative. NB: I'm privileged to work with an amazing EMS Chief, @EMSOfficer, who follows up on every single text, no matter the time. As you can see from the graph, he was pretty busy last night. This is #TrueLeadership. I would love to hear any other ideas you have about limiting wall times.

We need a scarier term for Wet Bulb, because I’ve tried explaining it to a few people around me and they do not seem to understand.

Quick tutorial in critical thinking: 1. I read this tweet & thought, "that's odd...never heard of ACP and this seems contrary to what I've previously heard on this topic." 2. Look up the group to learn more about them. 3. Learn that they're listed as a hate group by ADL.

The American College of Pediatricians just put out a 🔥🔥🔥 statement calling out all the major medical associations by name for pushing the gender transition craze on kids. They ask for these groups to "IMMEDIATELY stop the promotion of social affirmation, puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgeries for children and adolescents who experience distress over their biological sex." The full @ACPeds statement ⬇️ "Therefore, given the recent research and the revelations of the harmful approach advocated by WPATH and its followers in the United States, we, the undersigned, call upon the medical professional organizations of the United States, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the  Endocrine Society, the Pediatric Endocrine Society, American Medical Association, the American Psychological Association, and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to follow the science and their European professional colleagues and immediately stop the promotion of social affirmation, puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgeries for children and adolescents who experience distress over their biological sex.  Instead, these organizations should recommend comprehensive evaluations and therapies aimed at identifying and addressing underlying psychological co-morbidities and neurodiversity that often predispose to and accompany gender dysphoria. We also encourage the physicians who are members of these professional organizations to contact their leadership and urge them to adhere to the evidence-based research now available.” They link to MANY studies on their site: doctorsprotectingchildren.org

@AndrewACNP1 Marvin Heenmeyer wasn't a reasonable guy. Putting aside that he was mentally ill and kept a list of 107 people who he had greivances against for literaly every petty reason imaginable, he was basically a Sovereign Citizen who was outraged that septic tanks are a thing.

@Rockurownium Convince me that being on duty for 72 hrs of poor sleeping, intervals of hyper-alertness, and the need to be psychologically prepared to perform with excellence at almost any time, etc....doesn't make the cortisol flow like a mighty river and the testosterone evaporate.
