Kept you waiting, huh? 😎
Well, here's some news we know a lot of you have been waiting for:
HARD BULLET IS COMING TO #PSVR2! Wishlist NOW at the link below. 👇
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision that Dying Light: The Beast will no longer be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Dying Light: The Beast was built from the ground up to take full advantage of current-generation hardware. Its open world, advanced visuals, and fluid combat and traversal all depend on processing power and memory that previous-generation consoles simply cannot provide. As development progressed, it became clear that bringing the game to those platforms would require compromises that would prevent us from delivering the experience we set out to create.
This was not a matter of choosing to leave those platforms behind. Rather, it reflected the technical realities of development and our commitment to delivering the best possible experience.
We know many of you were looking forward to playing on PS4 or Xbox One, and we are truly sorry for the disappointment this causes. Anyone who was expecting to play on either platform will be eligible for a refund.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Enemy fire should feel a bit more fair now. 🙌
Peeking from cover, suppressing enemies, and breaking their aim should matter more.
Enemies are less accurate when you suddenly appear, then adjust over time if they keep sight of you.
Standing exposed is still a bad idea.
Also fixed grenade throwing, objective spawns, and brought back some critical-health damage resistance.

If you were trying to install RE4 and getting stuck on Step 3. I accidentally hide the rest of process from you correcting an error with RE9 which does share some code behind the scenes. It is corrected in 0.9.62 which is out now. Just update the HUB! 👊🏻🍻
@BadHostile That is a good point. I wonder if that experience will be improved upon. I just don’t see the point of VR without motion controls. Being able to look around freely ofc is cool, but it has no overall effect on how you play the game.
I happened to be testing a new mod for Cyberpunk, and no, it's not better than the Luke Ross mod. It looks worse, runs much worse, a lot of things don't work properly, and it's incredibly difficult to install (it requires installing 11 other mods!). The only thing this mod adds are gestures with janky animations that have no impact on the game, as they don't provide any interaction. The new mod plays much more clunky than the previous one.
A short teaser for the upcoming VR mod for Mass Effect Legendary Edition by modder Marauder. This mod will offer 6DOF head tracking, various VR modes (Stereo, AER, and DIBR, also has Mono), free look, positional awareness. It will also feature both third-person and first-person perspectives. There will be no motion controller support, but honestly - I really don't think it's necessary in this case. The most important thing is to be able to see the galaxy with my own eyes 🤩
Mass Effect 1 mod is nearing completion and should be released soon, with a full Legendary Edition trilogy planned. You can follow its progress on the Flat2VR Modding Discord: discord.gg/flat2vr
@BadHostile I tend to avoid any VR things with out motion controls. If I’m holding a regular controller in my hand and just pressing buttons, I’d rather not be wearing a headset and just rather have a monitor
@DownloadableCO And if you think that VR games without motion controller support provide a worse VR experience, then you would have to write off most VR simulators.
@BadHostile I suppose you can always have fun with the medium, but VR is meant to be immersed and experienced, and not being able to move your arms at least freely is just jarring. There is a new cyberpunk mod with motion controls now and it’s 100x better than the other one.
Cyberpunk 2077's VR mod, which is a blast to play and I've spent hundreds of hours on, says something completely different 😛
No, a good game (especially an RPG that takes many hours) doesn't need motion controllers to work well in VR. Especially since the Mass Effect series doesn't have any interactions that utilize them, so it would just be useless hand-waving...
And for the actual shooting, head aiming is great, just like in CP2077. This isn't a typical FPS where precise aiming would matter.
A report surfaced that the now defunct Vertigo Games Amsterdam was working on a new VR game based on the Tomb Raider series. We dug into this, and here's what we found out:

@gingasvr What’s crazy is like why are these ppl giving you their opinion on this!? 😂 it’s something YOU want to, like why are the trying to convince you otherwise?
“Why make a VR mod for Stardew Valley and not my own Game?” Because people have tried… and failed. IMHO the only REAL way to get people interested in VR again is bringing games they already love to VR.
I would never be able to make a game from scratch as good as SV #vr#stardew
