@DownloadableCO Appreciate the feedback! Yes the game can appear a little dark but that is a design choice we have made! Sometimes, the recordings also can appear darker than when actually playing. We do have some settings available to disable the flashes as well!

@ExoshockVR I think I’m always confused about the lighting in this. The games looks really fun, it just it seems really dark and then all those flashes might actually cause some eye issues

Enemy fire should feel a bit more fair now. 🙌 Peeking from cover, suppressing enemies, and breaking their aim should matter more. Enemies are less accurate when you suddenly appear, then adjust over time if they keep sight of you. Standing exposed is still a bad idea. Also fixed grenade throwing, objective spawns, and brought back some critical-health damage resistance.

A lot of readability and hit feel work this week. Added a new shader layer to help enemies, players, weapons, and ground items read better in darker areas. Damage types are now implemented too, with weapon stats showing how each gun performs against flesh, armor, and shields. Also reworked character tick scaling and projectile collision handling. Should help animation smoothness, hit registration, and multiplayer feel overall.

Experimenting with a glowing eyes effect for enemies. 👀 Quest standalone does not have bloom, and distant skeletal mesh LODs can lose a lot of emissive detail. This is a performance-friendly trick to keep some of that glow visible at distance. Might end up being redundant with outlines, but it was worth testing. Footage here is flatscreen, so it should read a bit stronger in VR.

Combat tuning is starting to shift toward real co-op. Right now, some fights can feel too much like parallel singleplayer. Testing some balance changes so enemies survive long enough to suppress, reposition, and force better teamwork. Still early, but this is the first step toward stronger cooperative firefights.

Multiplayer is getting very close now. 🙌 A lot of the recent work has been replication fixes, revive flow cleanup, lobby spawning fixes, objective polish, and audio finally behaving properly in missions. Enemy callouts, impact sounds, mission music, sentries, objectives, and downed player behavior are all getting cleaned up. Still testing heavily, but it’s starting to come together.

AI movement and animations got another cleanup pass. Smoother movement. Better animation tracking. Improved running-while-aiming. A ton of multiplayer development is also happening behind the scenes as we prepare for July. 🎯

@ExoshockVR @eGainers 5080, Ryzen 7 9700X, 32GB RAM. Seemed fine today though! I wanted to send the Unreal logs over when the errors were happening but it seemed they weren't set to a destination, so I couldn't send the crash logs.

👉 A lot of behind-the-scenes work lately. We’re resolving internal build issues and moving custom engine deployment forward. Also preparing the color set competition results while experimenting with new color sets and patterns. Not the flashiest progress, but important groundwork is getting done.

Hard at work on Quest performance right now. 💨 We’ve been testing different maps across enemy counts, Resistance levels, ally bots, and different builds. GPU visibility and LODs already got a big pass. Now we’re making strong progress on AI and animation cost. Still testing, but this is a big step for overall stability.
