UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTHS THEY NEVER TOLD YOU Opening Note This is not advice. Advice is gentle. This is clarity. Clarity doesn’t ask permission. If any sentence here annoys you, pause. That irritation is the sound of an old belief collapsing.

I was listening to this interesting podcast on Spotify about Operation Ajax: open.spotify.com/episode/5MDvm7… Operation Ajax was a covert intelligence operation orchestrated by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the UK Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) that successfully overthrew Iran's democratically elected Prime Minister, Mohammad Mosaddegh, on August 19, 1953. The coup dismantled Iranian democracy, reinstated the absolute monarchy of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and fundamentally reshaped modern Middle Eastern geopolitics. It created the room that transformed a once-secular democracy into a hostile theocracy. The motives In 1951, Mosaddegh and the Iranian parliament voted to nationalize the country's oil industry. This seized control from the British-owned Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (AIOC). The UK wanted to restore Western oil profits. The US under President Dwight D. Eisenhower feared that the economic blockade imposed by Britain would push Mosaddegh into an alliance with the Tudeh Party (the Iranian Communist Party), granting the Soviet Union a strategic foothold. The strategy The CIA allocated roughly $1 million to execute a psychological warfare and destabilization script. Intelligence agencies bribed local newspapers, editors, and public figures to plant negative stories. They painted Mosaddegh as corrupt, anti-Islamic, and a puppet of communist forces. Operators staged bombings and armed harassment against religious and political leaders, framing Mosaddegh's loyalists to alienate his base. The CIA hired local gangs, wrestlers, and "rent-a-crowds" to flood the streets of Tehran, inciting chaotic riots that demanded Mosaddegh's removal. The Shah was pressured into signing royal decrees that dismissed Mosaddegh and appointed pro-Western General Fazlollah Zahedi as the new prime minister. While a first arrest attempt failed on August 15, subverted military units and weaponized street mobs successfully overwhelmed Mosaddegh’s residence by August 19, forcing his surrender. The coup dismantled Iran's growing democracy and transformed the Shah into an absolute dictator who suppressed political dissent using the feared, CIA-trained secret police network, SAVAK. The AIOC monopoly ended, allowing an international consortium of American, British, and French oil giants to manage and split Iran's oil revenue. The lingering collective trauma and anti-Western sentiment caused by Operation Ajax directly fueled the 1979 Islamic Revolution, which overthrew the Shah and established the current theocratic regime. Operation Ajax was fundamentally triggered by a dispute over who controlled Iran's natural resources (oil nationalization). Today's conflict is still a battle over oil and energy infrastructure.

@Victorokeke_ Operation Ajax never truly ended, the methods just evolved. Different century, different language, same struggle over influence, security, energy, and control in the Middle East. History’s script seems to be playing again between the US, Israel, and Iran.

Lots of people are saying the Nigerian dream is to leave Nigeria which which is just a surface truth. The grand dream is to privatise the state. For the average citizen, the pragmatic Nigerian Dream is to attain a level of wealth where you can personally fund what the govt is supposed to provide - personal security, private healthcare, private education, and stable independent power (generators or solar). It is a drive born of necessity, where individual prosperity acts as a protection against systemic failures. Travelling abroad is just a pathway to attain this dream. It's not the dream itself.

Back to my city, Sejong. It's more peaceful here. People in Seoul hurry a lot. They told just us Koreans don't stand at Escalators; they run on it. "Fast Fast" was the informal slogan.

“Do You Have Any Challenges?” — Otti’s Priority to Security Explained in One Action “Do you have any challenges?” Those were the direct words of Governor Alex Otti to a military officer at the Ndoki Road Primary School military base during his routine road inspection tour last Sunday. Governor Otti had moved from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he worshipped earlier that morning, down to Afule Road on his routine inspection visits. From there, he proceeded to Umuchichi Road and Etche Road. On his way to Obohia Road, he transversed the Etche Road section of Ngwa Road heading towards Ahia Ohuru. Immediately after the junction leading to Ohanku Road, where the military base along Ngwa Road is situated within part of the Ndoki Road School premises, Governor Otti suddenly signalled his convoy to stop. It wasn’t planned. He stepped down from his vehicle and walked straight to the soldier on duty at the checkpoint. “How are you? How is work going? Is the Commander in?” the Governor asked. “Yes sir,” the officer replied, immediately moving to usher His Excellency to meet the officer in charge. It was clearly an unprepared moment for the officer, who was still fastening his wristwatch and adjusting his shoes when he came out to receive the Governor. Governor Otti immediately began: “Sorry we took you unawares, I was just passing and decided to check on you people to see how things are going. Are there any challenges we should know about?” At that point, the Officer, who identified himself as Captain T. Yabiteigha, was almost short of words. Sensing the hesitation, Governor Otti cut in again: “Because I can already see this place needs renovation.” That statement immediately opened the conversation. The officer then led the Governor to the area where their patrol vans were parked, showing him that most of the operational vehicles were faulty and in poor condition. Without hesitation, Governor Otti immediately called on his Chief Security Officer, Ken Nwosu, directing him to ensure that the vehicles are either repaired or new ones provided and handed over to the military personnel with immediate effect. The Director General of the Greater Aba Development Authority, Mr. Uche Ukeje, who was coincidentally part of the inspection team, was also instructed on the spot to ensure the facility is renovated and fitted with solar-powered lights across the compound. Then came the emotional moment. As the Governor was about to leave, Captain Yabiteigha suddenly reminded him: “Sir, I know you may not remember, but last year you paid my hospital bills and those of my colleagues after that operation where we were attacked. One of our colleagues died and you supported his family and also placed his children on scholarship. I have been looking for a way to see you and thank you for saving my life. I was shut at my hip …….” Those words struck a deep emotional chord. Governor Otti’s commitment to security is second to none. His concern for the welfare of security personnel, the men who put their lives on the line daily, is one of the reasons Abia enjoys relative peace and security today. Why wouldn’t officers give their all when they can see that families of fallen heroes are not abandoned, and injured personnel are properly cared for? Since assuming office, Governor Otti has shown sincere commitment across every sector, particularly security, but that impromptu stop at the Ndoki military base on Sunday explained how much of a priority security is to Governor Otti. There are challenges you can never discover unless you go there yourself. Who would have imagined that on an ordinary Sunday, a Governor would stop his convoy and walk straight into a military base just to ask officers how they were faring? That is intentional leadership. That single visit solved problems that may have lingered unattended for months. May Governor Otti keep happening to Abia. Miracle Chukwunenye May 13, 2026.

Genesis is the only successful new luxury car brand launched in the 21st century. It started as a single model under @Hyundai_Global in 2008. Hyundai spent approximately $500 million over six years to develop that first car. In 2015, they spun it off into a standalone brand to compete directly with the "German Big Three." In less than a decade, they have surpassed Infiniti and Acura in global brand prestige and are currently closing the gap with Cadillac and Lincoln. One of their major attractions in Korea is that they use Active Road Noise Control, which works like noise-canceling headphones by emitting inverted sound waves through the car's speakers to cancel out tire and wind noise.

@General_Oluchi Back from researching about it. The whole 419 thing really picked up from the late ’70s through the ’90s. Before the internet, these scams ran through letters and faxes, promising huge payouts in exchange for a small upfront fee. Men mount even from the beginning.

Where do you think the lingua 419 (also criminal code) originated? Have you heard of money washers and doublers? Why did you think many houses in the 90s had the red marker “this house is not for sale!” on it? Ask around or read archived documents. Time and generation may have changed but the crime remains the same.

1. If you live in Port Harcourt or you come for a visit, if anyone calls you pilot, do not answer them or even look at them. You didn’t go to aviation school. 2. Be kind to the egbon adugbo in your area. Show love when you have spare cash. One day, “free am, na my guy” from one of them will save you. 3. Any business you do with people, collect your percentage and give them their full money. Don’t let greed ruin your life. 4. Give dispatch riders the address of the nearest junction or the house before yours. Come outside and get it from them. I hope you never find out why I said this. 5. Be cordial with at least one neighbor in your compound. Don’t ever be on bad terms with your neighbors. In emergencies, they are your first saviors. 6. Once in a while, show love to your gateman or estate security. E get why. 7. Never post your location online until you have left there. 8. Before you rent an apartment, study the kind of people who live in the compound or estate. If you see people of questionable character, don’t rent a house there. 9. You must never sleep with your neighbor. No matter how good-looking they are, don’t cross that line. 10. Your house is your sanctuary; not everyone should know where you live. Some friendships/link-ups should end in the gym, church, school, workplace, hotel, etc. 11. If you are walking in a gathering of strangers, bone your face. It is dangerous not to look dangerous. 12. If God blesses your pocket and you notice you are the only rich person in your hood, it is time to pack out.
