Like I said before - Arne Slot won the league with a Jurgen Klopp side that was still running on Jurgen Klopp fumes, and as soon as that job was complete we started the transition into "Arne Slot's Liverpool" and it's been fucking wank ever since. Genuinely can count on one hand the games we've played where we've looked a very good side. The rest of the time we've looked gassed, out of ideas, and easily beaten, and when you look at the numbers it's astonishingly bad. 22 points dropped since January this year. 19 games lost in the last calendar year. 4 wins in the last 13 games. Battered 4-1 at home to PSV. Battered 3-0 at home, twice, to Forest and Palace. Beaten by a Wolves side with 2 wins in 29 games. It goes on. And enough is enough.

Liverpool’s anaemic title defence has to go down as one of the worst in years. To play with this lack of intensity, this lack of organisation defensively, this lack of pace is so poor and reflects badly on Arne Slot. Liverpool teams have identity. This one doesn’t.  Liverpool are such a difficult watch: good players shorn of energy and belief (Kerkez and Mamardashvili played well, Ngumoha deserves to come on earlier). Mitigating factors exist, including the failure to move earlier last summer and land Marc Guehi that proved very damaging.   A decision has to be made on Slot in the summer, but surely not now. Not while Liverpool are still in the Champions League  - although PS-G’s Kvaratskhelia, Dembele, Barcola and Doue will take some stopping by that vulnerable defence. Not while they are still in the FA Cup - although they travel to Manchester City four days before visiting PS-G. And not while they still have a chance of finishing in the top five - although their run-in involves run-ins: Everton, Manchester United and Aston Villa away. Fulham, Palace, Chelsea (six-pointer) and Brentford at home. Forbidding schedule. #LFC

Liverpool will lose way more than 10 games this season. It seems like FSG are resigned to losing out on Champions league football next season with them sticking by Slot. That's c.£100m loss for Liverpool. That will be catastrophic for them. They will almost certainly have to sell big this summer to keep their break even numbers up. Salah will have to be sold, that will save them £20m a year in wages. We could be seeing the complete demisie of Liverpool here, all the hard work Klopp done to get them back to top and back above Man Utd, undone by Slot in the last 12 months. Liverpool fans, get ready for several years in the wilderness again!
