Connecting with others who understand your journey can mean the world. When people “get it,” stigma breaks down, empathy grows, and healing begins. Today’s #TogetherAgainstOCD prompt: Share a time when someone finally “got” your OCD. How did that understanding impact you?

Today is World Maternal Mental Health Awareness Day. We know that oftentimes, mothers are used to putting everyone else in the family first, but as Scheana Shay reminds us, you have to prioritize your own mental health. Scheana bravely opened up about her experience with Postpartum OCD last year and has been a champion for maternal mental health ever since. Postpartum OCD is a condition that affects many new parents but is often misunderstood or overlooked. Visit IOCDF's virtual Perinatal Resource Center for more: iocdf.org/perinatal-ocd/

As part of #OCDweek, we bring you the story of @umarchatterjee. For much of her life, Uma struggled to manage her OCD symptoms. It wasn't until she found a therapist who really understood OCD, that her life began to change. Learn more: go.nih.gov/Xx1RKCN @iocdf

Trait anxiety-related increases in information sampling were not explained by inferential differences in weighting of new/old information, but rather by different cost-benefit analysis that placed a higher subjective cost to incorrect guesses, even in unambiguous contexts. (6/6)

We tested two potential explanatory models: (1) inferential deficits in the ability to effectively integrate the information provided by drawing a bead, and (2) valuation alterations that influenced the perceived value/cost of drawing a bead. (5/6)
