RIP brother.
It sucks so bad we had to send you off, but you’d have been proud.
Everybody loves you. I love you, man. Thank you for bringing out the best in me.

Have you ever been to Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park?
Long before it became part of the National Park, Cades Cove was an isolated mountain valley that was home to Indigenous people for centuries. The cove was used primarily by the Cherokee, who hunted here and maintained seasonal settlements throughout the region. The valley was part of a much larger Cherokee homeland that stretched across what is now eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina.

@thequeenofrust The original homestead of our farm, which my great-grandfather moved was a log home. Later, they built around it.

I’ve documented the decline of this home since I first photographed it in 2015. The process has been both painful and beautiful.
As hard as it is to see a home splayed bare, its bones are fascinating to study. The architectural details are my favorite focus.
Diary of Abandonment@thequeenofrust
When the large stacked stone chimney fell, it exposed the home’s long-kept secret—its beginnings as a simple one-room log cabin. North Carolina📍

@SportsSourceTV I was ten years old when this game happened. I remember it just like it was yesterday

I was a boy when the #Vols upset Miami in the 1986 Sugar Bowl.
My mind just cannot grasp that it was 40 years ago tonight.
Older folks know what I mean. Younger folks will know sooner than they would like.
Auld Lang Syne, indeed.

🎖️ 100 YEARS AGO TODAY 🎖️
General Robert Neyland was promoted to Head Coach of the Tennessee Volunteers — a decision that forever changed the course of Tennessee Football. 🍊
His leadership transformed the program into a national powerhouse and built a legacy that still stands tall today.
Even a century later, General Neyland remains the foundation of Tennessee Football:
🏈 His 7 Game Maxims are recited before every kickoff.
🗿 A 9-foot statue stands in his honor.
🏟️ And his name lives on through Neyland Stadium itself.
A century of tradition. A legacy that will never fade. Thank you General!🍊
