Five years ago the world very suddenly became a scary place. On this day of reflection I'm remembering how it showed the best of people - the desire to look after and help each other by making selfless sacrifices. To the medical staff, carers and key workers who risked their lives by doing their duty, thank you. That horrible illness stole life from millions of people, but the efforts to overcome it was humanity at its best.
