@nomrahybba @mint_tibb @BlackSheepAwake We also cannot look at data simply the total number of c-sections. There may be an increase in appropriate c-sections due to multiple causes. There may be an increase in inappropriate c-sections. The real data is looking at indications and c-sections, but that is painstaking.
English

@DrMRK7 @mint_tibb @BlackSheepAwake I didn't agree with the OP, just pointed out that the idea that the cesarean rate has gone down is untrue, and it has not been within WHO guidelines in several decades. It's definitely a multifaceted issue, but blaming pregnant people is not it, considering our healthcare system
English

@nomrahybba @mint_tibb @BlackSheepAwake You are both correct. There’s variability in year to year data. People are having children later and we definitely have lifestyle changes that have negatively impacted health. It’s not attributing fault, it’s just fact. The root of the problem is a poor healthcare system.
English

@PRADAXBBY No offence please. But can someone drop a similar video but with black women. Let me imagine my future properly 💅🏾
English

@BlackSheepAwake (Sarcasm filter) OBs! $25-50k/c-section! That’s an annual salary of $5-11mill (with holidays and CME). Dang! (Truth: Most OBs are salaried and not making baller money. That is a pathologically false tweet.)
English

@nomrahybba @mint_tibb @BlackSheepAwake All of the “developed” world has at least universal care for pregnant women. Most have care for all, health is generally better. Until the US fixed these basic deficits maternal care will always be lagging.
English

@mint_tibb @BlackSheepAwake Sure, but our numbers are still considerably higher than the rest of the "developed" world and we have really bad maternal/infant outcomes comparatively too. Something is wrong with our healthcare, and we *should* be questioning it.
English

@nomrahybba @mint_tibb @BlackSheepAwake We should question it but with rational facts. OBs don’t make tens of thousands of dollars per c-section. Most are salaried. Demographics have changed, that needs to be taken into context. The problems won’t be fixed by hysteria.
English

@mint_tibb @chaun619 @Knightsalone1 @HoliestHarlot @BlackSheepAwake She’s arguing a rational point that demographics have changed and there are confounders to the data.
English

@chaun619 @Knightsalone1 @HoliestHarlot @BlackSheepAwake And those women have been dying lol like I said a c section can be a life saving measure. If someone’s blood pressure is thru the roof, baby is too big, they have lupus, sickle cell…c section could be indicated
English

@newhandledre @ashleyfxxx @BlackSheepAwake It’s not time or effort that drives the cost of procedures, it is expertise (and resources). These are complex procedures that require training and constant education. No matter the practitioner.
English

@ashleyfxxx @BlackSheepAwake Doctors that are paid by production are paid by RVUs, RVU rate can vary by hospital system, but Medicare/Medicaid billing is pretty standardized, there’s not much incentive between vaginal and c-section considering how much more time and effort goes into a c-section

@RDWimp @Luzdorada2000 @PrissMint @mediaguardian I know it’s hard to understand but most wonderfully melanated people have different hues at different times of the year and age. Light also influences how a camera captures that beauty. Same for unmelanated who can lost ghostly, ashen, or pasty if exposed to too much light.

@meridianana @VaclavCrazy These are all over the UK and Australia. They are always placed discreetly in shops. I clock them immediately when I go in and I leave. Visit any curio or op shop and you’ll see them. I’ve seen them in a lot of homes. Generally in the 55+ set.
English

@VaclavCrazy I have never ever seen one in a shop. Not ever. What happens on the internet which is international may well be different but you can’t walk 500 yards from your home and see a gollywog which is what was claimed. Spent long hours in numerous toy shops. Never seen one. Not once.
English

@ninafunnell Just disgusting. The judge should be stood down.
English

A NSW judge has minimised a man repeatedly raping his own 13 y o step daughter by painting him a "war hero" & saying he was merely "seeking comfort & affection in the wrong place".
