Fantastic @IASLC #STARS Scholars get-together! We ate, drank, laughed, and cried, remembering friends we have lost. We all anxiously await the amazing research to be presented at #WCLC24 - a lot of science on innovative treatments & talk about cures, BUT not as much about HELPING US LIVE BETTER. Many of us are veteran patients - grateful to be alive but struggling with the compound cumulative effects of multiple lines of therapy. Our bodies are tired. I implore all researchers who develop innovative treatments to also #MakeCancerLessShitty @CancerSuckLess #LCSM

Researchers at MIT have questioned whether SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time-bound) actually work. They suggest we might get better outcomes if we make our goals FAST (frequently discussed, ambitious, specific and transparent) not SMART.

It is with great sadness that we say good-bye to our dear friend and powerful lung cancer advocate, Ivy Elkins. We will remember Ivy as vibrant, compassionate, and unselfish; never defined by her cancer, and always proving that she was a person, not a statistic.
