À partir de l’observation des actifs sur les marchés financiers, Quoc-Trieu Le et Mathieu El Dahaby examinent l'évolution du comportement des investisseurs internationaux à l'égard des actifs américains :
🔹 L'affaiblissement de la « couverture naturelle » du dollar suite aux annonces de tarifs douaniers aux États-Unis, ce qui accroît l'exposition des investisseurs au risque de change.
🔹 Une configuration de marché inhabituelle combinant une baisse simultanée des actions américaines, des obligations américaines et du dollar.
🔹 Le maintien de flux d'investissements étrangers massifs vers les actifs américains, malgré une volatilité accrue.
🔹 Un recours croissant aux stratégies de couverture de change (notamment via les swaps de devises), ce qui contribue en soi à la dépréciation du dollar.
🔹 L'attractivité persistante des marchés américains (rendements obligataires, performance des actions et absence d'alternatives crédibles).
👉 Une analyse qui démontre que, plutôt que de se retirer des actifs des États-Unis, les investisseurs internationaux adaptent leurs stratégies de change dans un environnement plus incertain.
