Peter is not the Rock, Jesus is. Mary is not the mediator, Jesus is. The Pope is not the head of the church, Jesus is. The Catholic Church is not the way to heaven, Jesus is.

@Jevsoliktfuvh @sola_chad He said “you are Peter (rock), and on this rock I will build My Church” (Matt 16:18). Then He gives Peter alone the keys and authority. The early Church overwhelmingly saw this as Peter’s office, not faith alone. Appealing to Scripture alone is nowhere found in scripture.

Who said Jesus got it wrong? I didn't. He renamed Simon because of his confession of faith (Matt 16:16-17), and said "on this rock I'll build my church". The foundation is that revealed faith in Christ—not Peter's person alone. If you can't follow that plain reading here, how do you trust your interpretation of Scripture overall? Most people are wrong on most things. That's why appealing to "2,000 years of magisterium consensus" is no better than the Pharisees' traditions that Jesus repeatedly corrected. Sola Scriptura puts the final authority where it belongs: God's Word, not fallible human consensus.

Jesus named Simon Peter (the rock) because of his faith. "On this rock I will build my church" - signifying faith as the foundation of His church - not Simon Peter specifically.

@sola_chad Jesus was the stone rejected. Peter was the rock on which the church was built. Mary mediates for us as proven in Cana. Pope is the visible leader, Jesus is the head ( you did get one right). The Holy, Catholic, Apostolic church is the church Jesus started.

A historic Black cemetery in Palmetto, Florida, was vandalized, with graves damaged and “Trump” and “DeSantis” spray-painted across tombstones. Our ancestors deserve dignity in life and in death. Desecrating sacred burial grounds is hateful, painful, and unacceptable. We must protect Black history and honor the families impacted by this cruelty.

Hatred against Muslims has no place in any civilized society. Attacking someone during prayer is not free speech it is cowardice and pure hate. Every religion deserves dignity, respect, and protection. Stand against Islamophobia before it poisons humanity even further. Muslims have always been taught to respect people of all faiths Jews, Christians, Sikhs, Hindus, everyone. No one should be targeted for worshipping peacefully.

I am aware of the disturbing incident targeting worshippers during Friday prayers outside the Baitul Mamur Mosque in Brooklyn, where a man praying was struck with an egg. 

That hateful act is unacceptable and an affront to the values that define us as New Yorkers. 

My administration is committed to rooting out anti-Muslim hate in all its forms and ensuring every New Yorker can live and worship in safety and dignity. The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating this incident.
