@jfberke Oh you know I’ll quibble away. 😉 You are 3x more likely to be a medical patient with an underlying condition if you consume daily. Biggest customers are not addicts, they’re patients.

@cantripguy @LiviMckay THCa from a dispo (with COA & soil tests) in NC. Sherbanger on the right tests at 35% THCa. Blue Runtz 2nd from the left. All fresh & sticky. All sold "legally" in a prohibitionist state. 👀 old COA from MA with 23% THCa. Recording a 🔥 THCa segment for @TheDalesReport soon

Hold up, is there really an argument that “THCa hemp” sales are eating into “legal THC” cannabis sales? To that question, I have 2 follow up questions… 1) in which states is this occurring? 2) have you ever tried “THCa flower” from a smoke shop in NC?

Discover Your Color is the edge legal operators are taking to compete with the longstanding legacy market, especially in California and New York. Best part, it’s free. 😊 Tell your dispensary to sign up today! Discoveryourcolor.co

@patrickrea @CannaCrusade @LiviMckay It will be a new Cannabis pathway. Alcohol and tobacco have their own pathways. Except, Cannabis is not like alcohol or tobacco. It should have a unique pathway. Instead of waiting for the FDA to make this pathway, we have to start with community stakeholders

@CannaCrusade @DrTalleyrand @LiviMckay My experience is the FDA doesn't have to do anything on anyone else's timeline if they are living up to their mission. 2 Facts: 1. The FDA took 15 years to implement all of DSHEA (supplements), which was passed by Congress (!) 2. They've done nothing on CBD.

“We’ve never had a situation where a substance has been moved from schedule one to another schedule of the CSA prior to that substance going through a traditional FDA market approval process and having that substance be approved.” #neveradullmoment thehill.com/policy/healthc…

@patrickrea @LiviMckay I completely agree @patrickrea The elephant in the room is the FDA's difficulties, historically, with approving botanical products. I am predicting a new Cannabis pathway will be established after rescheduling.

@LiviMckay @DrTalleyrand The FDA's scientific hurdle is significant—herbs and botanicals struggle to meet all the necessary thresholds.

@canna_brain Can we all get along? We can disagree with kindness and respect. I believe we all want to the same thing - to discover benefits and risks of using Cannabis and help those who are sick. Let's work together. Thanks to @hubermanlab and @canna_brain for an interesting discussion

Ok because there are several new people on here, and everyone seems to have opinions about my credibility and motivations, I am just going to provide some context for the newbies here so that I don’t have to address questions in the comments or more ridiculous trolling.

The FDA does have a process to approve botanical medicines as drugs, but it’s next to impossible to achieve. Of 1000 applications, maybe 5 drugs have been approved. Cannabis is the way to carve a true path for botanical and botanical-based medicines.

@LiviMckay I appreciate the shout out, but it's not enough. There are so many patients who benefit or might benefit from using Cannabis. It literally saves lives. We're going to bring Cannabis science and education into the community, so that more people can benefit.

Our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jean Talleyrand, has personally seen 30,000 cannabis patients over a 20 year period. I mean, can we give this man a major round of applause? THIRTY THOUSAND PATIENTS. Go Dr. T!! @DrTalleyrand

@drmikehart @hubermanlab @AlexBerenson @joerogan Physicians don't prescribe Cannabis. We give science backed guidance to patients who use Cannabis for medical purposes. They need our service. I am happy to share how biochemical clusters solve the dichotomy of Sativa-Indica effects. Let's collaborate.

I'm a regular @hubermanlab listener, and I support his podcast. I have also prescribed as much cannabis as nearly any other physician, co-authored a book on cannabis and discussed cannabis with @AlexBerenson on @joerogan. I think the cannabis podcast that @hubermanlab did had some inaccuracies. I strongly support @canna_brain x @hubermanlab discussion.
Matt Hill@canna_brain

From someone who has studied this field for over 2 decades, I can comfortably say that virtually everything said here is inaccurate. It is incredibly disturbing to me that someone claiming to be a scientist can talk with such authority on something they clearly know nothing about

@hubermanlab We've classified Cannabis by cannabinoid and terpene ratios. It aligns with the "sativa effect" and "indica effect" reported in the community. With a simple algorithm we can objectively designate types and subtypes. It's a stake in the ground to better research on Cannabis

@hubermanlab I respect the work you do. Science is complex. Translating complex concepts in a relatively brief podcast is an art form. I suggest using the words "sativa effect" or "indica effect" when discussing the difference. Keeps the message from getting lost in translation. Thanks!
