I’ve loathed Eric Swalwell ever since the early days of Russiagate because he just kept lying and lying, wrecking countless lives in the process. That said, what happened today is an object lesson in Democratic Party efficiency. The moment someone becomes a problem, they throw him under the bus in two milliseconds, then pull him back out just enough to keep a House vote. Absolutely clinical.

Belief in Jesus as the Messiah, our Savior, repentance from our sin, and accepting Him into our life IS the gospel.

Can anyone recommend a Protestant podcaster who offers an apologia of our theology against Catholic theology who is a clear creationist—six days, global flood? I know there are some who do this who are local flood, symbolic creation type of people and I’m not interested in them. If it’s someone, for example, who would promote Biologos and Francis Collins or work with Biologos, I don’t want that guy. Is there anyone like this?

When accusations come out of the woodwork years later, they seem to be less likely to be true, and the same goes for Swalwell. HOWEVER….since he felt that way about Kavanaugh, he needs to allow, and even call for, HIS alleged ‘victims’ to be heard.

Catholic teaching is not pacifist; it includes just war criteria precisely because evil aggressors exist and innocents must sometimes be defended by force. Popes can (and should) urge restraint, mercy, and peace negotiations. But when the rhetoric appears one-sided—stronger condemnation of defensive actions by some parties than the initiating atrocities by others—it inevitably invites the "partisan" charge that is being hurled against Pope Leo.

I saw a post from some atheists on Reddit complaining that astronauts keep talking about God saying, “How can we have the best of the best scientists circling the moon and still talking about religion?” You’re so close. Maybe the people who see the intricacies and vastness of creation up close are the most convinced that this didn’t all happen by chance. In fact, it takes so much more faith to look at Earth, our ecosystem, perfectly ordered, from space and believe it all came from nothing. That’s a fantastical religious belief. It actually takes far less faith to say: maybe there is an entity bigger than me, whose intelligence transcends mine. I’m finite, and He is infinite and He created this in a way I can’t fully understand. That takes a lot less faith than the atheist belief. Safe travels home, Artemis! 🚀
