As a Nigerian, I’m honestly ashamed to come online right now. Everything about this country feels like it’s fading away. If not for football and music, there’s absolutely nothing special left to brag about. The name “Giant of Africa” shouldn’t even be mentioned anymore. Watching how Speed is enjoying Benin makes me question a lot about Nigeria. Will we ever be great again? Maybe not in our generation maybe in 60 to 80 years, when a better generation rises and rebuilds this country. Right now, I’m so disappointed that I can’t even talk proudly about anything other than football and music in Nigeria.

ishowspeed's poor experience in Nigeria is majorly his fault and that of his team; U want to put Nigerian culture(s) on display for the world to see, but the first place u land is the ever busy Lagos? U can't be serious. Lagos is like the New York of Nigeria, everyone is often preoccupied looking for their next paycheck or hustling to make ends meet, and since Lagos is home every ethnicity, u can't experience anything in full except when it's a festive season or cultural day. If he really wanted to see the beauty of Nigeria as a diverse nation, a country with more than 350 ethnic groups with distinctive cultures and heritages, he should've visited at least one state in the South-west asides Lagos, one in the South-East, South-south, and North, or just visit any of these regions after landing in Lagos. Not neglecting the fact that our n@t so bright public figures were embarrassing, or trying to downplay the begging pandemic, his experience would've been different if it was well planned.
