@PeteThamel Unless the court grants an injunction, Brendan Sorsby would have to sit out the 2026 college football season after the NCAA denied his eligibility request. The other path would be the 2026 NFL Supplemental Draft, with the application deadline reportedly set for June 22.

Sources: The NCAA has denied Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby’s request for reinstatement for eligibility for the 2026 season. Sorsby has completed his 35-day in-patient rehab for his gambling addiction at Algamus in Goodyear, Arizona.

Arch Manning and Dante Moore are the early QB1 names everyone is discussing, but CJ Carr has a clean runway to crash the conversation. LaNorris Sellers, CJ Bailey, Brendan Sorsby, and Drew Mestemaker are other names who could rise quickly in 2026.

Pick Your College Football QB Trio

This is an accurate number. I’ve been compiling NIL values on players since 2020, and I recently built an NFL Draft valuation model using prior draft data to better connect true NIL value by position. For example, a top-tier QB in the Caleb Williams or Trevor Lawrence range can land anywhere from $3.5- 7M. Julian Sayin carries an early Day 2 projection. His positional value pushes the grade toward late Day 1, which correlates with an NIL value in the $1.8M–$2.5 range. I assume their data, and I haven’t read the full analysis yet, has him as a mid-Day 1 grade, pushing him into the $2.8M range.

This is almost unbelievable… There is no way Julian Sayin is only making $2.8M

@GallantSays @LanceZierlein I love fill and spill. Everyone has a gap: fill it, spill the runner wide, and don’t let them get north and south. If they bounce it, let your athletes clean it up outside. In my HS defense, the OLBs are my best athletes. They bat cleanup.

NFL draft terminology is hilarious. “Edge leakage” “Fill and spill” @LanceZierlein explained what these terms meant.

The Broncos got the steal of the draft in RB Jonah Coleman. You’ll love him as player, but even more as a person. Great runner, vision, feel for cut backs, but also great in pass pro. Catches the ball well. NFL starter
