Colton Cowser has seen 45 pitches in his 9 plate appearances this season. That's 5.00 pitches per PA. No other Oriole is above 4.40. Mike Trout led all MLB hitters at 4.46 last season. It's a small sample, but Cowser has been among the team leaders in Pit/PA every year.

@SethDavisHoops Most agents - especially inexperienced ones - will steer players to the biggest payday (ie, biggest commission) without considering what is best for the player's long-term career. They don't understand that taking less now could lead to making A LOT more later.

I understand the finances behind this but given Kelvin Sampson's record of developing players (and he's losing his three backcourt starters) I would think sticking around in Houston would have a much bigger financial upside down the road. To each his own!

There is no salary cap in college basketball/athletics.

@jcalvinmeyer Rutschman & Cowser not being automatics for the lineup is a positive development. Rutschman isn't a good enough hitter to be the DH when he's not behind the plate. Unless MLB bans pitchers from throwing change ups, Cowser should be a 4th outfielder & defensive replacement.
