All NCAA returners have been removed from personal @draftballr NBA Draft boards, and all declared prospects and relevant graduating seniors should be now be available in mock drafts.
Will continue removing guys as they drop out of the draft process, let me know if I missed any.

@draftballr Nice! Last I saw, Ivisic is returning to school.

I focus on broader signals, I don't have much opinion on these biomechanical analyses really. He's an incredibly high frequency dunker for his size in the half court which means he's very athletic. He's got the elite steal rate which is necessary for a small guard like this to have a possibility of surviving on defense. And he showed excellent development in his shooting with 85% FT this season. I don't see why he can't be a better Alvarado. He's certainly a better offensive player. He has a very rare combination of two-way skills + athleticism + fearlessness at his size, and i'm willing to give him a chance. He was way too productive this year to count out.

Ok. Going to dust off the ole “effort” out of respect for the shield. Here goes…
So, what’s the expectation?
Yes, he’s very skilled. Can he do some things that will work at the NBA level?
Sure.
But what % of possessions can you bank on it tactically? That’s my question.
What he lacks is “suddenness”. Doesn’t have the frame to go at that pace and displace people.
Slight frame dudes who make it typically have preternatural feel (✅) with great start/stop, (🚫).
When Ty Jerome came out, I knew he was going to be an NBA player. His ankle pliability gave him tremendous balance/touch bursting out of multidirectional cuts.
I don’t see the speed-to-power weight displacement on contact to leverage that great touch into enough quality shots. Can’t live consistently on drift looks off body contact ricochets.
NBA dudes are long & react to close quickly. If you can’t shake ‘em or bump ‘em…where do you eat, exactly?
I don’t see a rotation player. Do you?

The Best Prospect under 6 feet since Chris Paul
Joe Tipton@JoeTipton
NEWS: Vanderbilt star guard Tyler Tanner has declared for the NBA Draft, he told @On3. The 6-foot sophomore averaged 19.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 2.4 steals per game this season, earning First-Team All-SEC and SEC All-Defensive Team honors. on3.com/rivals/tyler-t…

Tyler Tanner clears college Isaiah Thomas on both ends of the court, it's not even particularly close. Isaiah shot in the low 70s from the free throw line in college. He obviously peaked as a really awesome offensive player in the NBA, but there's a reason he got picked 60th.

@draftballr Boy stop Isaiah Thomas is 5x better than him. And did more in college too

How do you maximize three-point rate and offensive rebounding at the same time?
@AtTheLevel writes on the new edge in basketball, and why this means teams should draft Allen Graves, Motiejus Krivas, and others.

It’s a fascinating decision these prospects have about declaring for the draft vs staying in college.
Getting drafted top 10 has a ton of guaranteed money and gets you closer to a possible $200M second contract. But you also risk falling in the draft and getting paid less than you could in college. So it’s a decision that comes with uncertainty around pay. There’s also playing time concerns. Maybe you get sent to the G league. Maybe you aren’t that good in the NBA and fade into irrelevance. Situation is everything. You don’t get to choose what team drafts you. Look at Rob Dillingham. He could have been one of the main characters of the NCAA this year. Once you play in the NBA you forgo all of that future NIL money. JHS is out of the league.
NCAA provides certainty around pay and team for one year. The NIL market is exploding year over year according to @EvanMiya (+65%?). If you are an upcoming sophomore, it’s unclear just how much money you could be making as a 5th year senior in a few years. Playing time is certain. Stardom and relevance are certain. It’s the easy, low variance, low stress choice for many of these players outside the top 10.
Ultimately, it’s a pretty difficult decision for prospects with a bunch of concerns to weigh, but staying in the NCAA makes way more sense than it ever has. I expect to have to remove more players from my draft board as prospects choose the certainty NCAA and NIL provides over the financial and situation lottery of the NBA.

NBA salaries outside of the lottery can't compete with NIL deals anymore whew

@JackDAnder it's a defensive danger zone. obv you have some really good offensive players there but all of them ended up being pretty bad on D
English

@draftballr does it though? feels pretty even from one list to another in terms of guys who stuck around and are at least ok players. the positive list has a lot of guys out of the league (or about to be) too.
