The only thing worse than @SimpliSafe’s smoke detectors are their cameras. I’m finally getting around to fixing that, starting with the shop then the house. Installing these RioLink POE turret cameras on each corner of the shop. Also designed this corner mount with a little roof to help protect the camera from the elements. I’ve been testing these cameras inside for a few days now and I think I’ll grab a few more for indoors too.

Did these ever happen or what? Did some light searching but didn’t see any new info on the subject other than hoping for Q2 of ‘05? 😬 I’ve got stacks of beat to hell OG XBOX consoles so I’m definitely in the market for quality replacements.

Got a few orders out yesterday I really appreciate the support! 💪 I’ll get the rest of the orders out today and I should be caught up. I was hoping to have the Xbox decals listed, but unfortunately I’m doing some major restructuring on my PC which I wasn’t planning to do but sometimes that’s just life… 🙃

I’ve had the designs done for a bit now. Just need to get the listings up. Shooting for this week. 👍

Listings are now live for both versions of the N64 Holographic Replacement Decals! Midnight Holo Daylight Holo Printed on thick 6mil holographic vinyl, durable and rated for 4 years of outdoor use without any lamination needed. Check the listing descriptions for videos showing how they look: No lamination With glossy lamination With matte lamination Sorry for the wait getting these up. Next console should go much faster. These are made on demand (no limited runs/batches), and I’ve got plenty of material in stock. As for ones that match the original. I've got the rear service label dialed in and the serial number will be on white vinyl with a glossy laminate. Was hoping to have these ready yesterday, but likely won’t have them listed until tomorrow. Which holographic version do you prefer for the #N64? The first two pictures are what I’m calling the “Midnight Holo” version, and the second two pictures I’m calling the “Daylight Holo” version. Answer in the poll in the next post and let me know!

What the hell am I gonna do with all these high-res motherboard scans anyway? What if they powered an app that makes retro console repair, upgrades, and refurbishing way easier? Interactive board maps: toggle components on/off, trace vias with an opacity slider + highlights to see exact connections for troubleshooting + built in capacitor maps? Symptom checker for stuff like no power or grey screen and displays real tips aggregated from across the web (with proper attribution), highlights problem areas with voltage notes and measurements. Step by step tutorials for upgrades and installs. Community driven so smarter folks than I can vote on updates as new info/findings comes out. What if it let you create and share your own tutorials for kit installs, upgrades, or fixes on specific motherboards, using these same scans built right in? What if? Would be pretty sweet...🤔
