Thrilled to share that our global Phase 3 trial of mitapivat in NTDT—where I served as global PI & lead author—has been accepted in The Lancet! A game changer: the first oral disease-modifying therapy in NTDT. Proud this was led from #Lebanon. 🔗 sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Thrilled to share our latest work on how the non-essential amino acid #asparagine metabolically regulates germinal centers. Huge thanks to my PhD supervisor @a_j_clarke, colleagues, and collaborators at the @KirOxford @UniofOxford, and @TheCrick who made this possible!

Excited to finally share this intriguing discovery that has mechanistically perplexed our group for years. Led by Alex (@CincyMSTP) & @RachLCan22 of @CincyImmunology w/ #PalumboLab, we find that prothrombin prevent fatal T cell-dependent hemolytic anemia during virus infection

Preprints brought hughe improvements to scholarly publishing, but it seems to me they further slowed down peer review. That's not a for quality - it may even improve it - but it could put more challanges on early career scientists that need the papers out. Same impression anyone?

Iron deficiency is highly prevalent worldwide but how it manifests at molecular/cellular levels is poorly understood. The brainchild of @MeganRTeh our new review is a compendium of why cells need iron and what happens when there isn’t enough! sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
