@PeterMallouk this chart is a waste of time. You can invest in the market at any point in time and if you waited long enough, it made money. and a 1-5 yr horizon isnt useful at all...and certaintly doesn't predict future outcomes.

@investseekers $NVO @novonordiskus this is an important development. The real long term future of the company isn't glp1s and weightloss drugs. It's the ability to grow its portfolio of other medications beyond weightloss drugs. difference between Lilly and Novo, Lilly has a diverse pipeline.

$NVO reports strong phase 3 results for etavopivat in sickle cell disease. The drug reduced painful crisis events by 27% and delayed the time to first crisis. Nearly half of patients saw a meaningful improvement in their blood levels vs. just 7% on placebo. Potential first-in-class therapy, with regulatory submission planned for H2 2026. The fact is that there haven't been any real glaciers (to speak of) in “Glacier [National] Park,” Montana, basically since the end of the Ice Age. As University of Montana geologists David Alt and Donald W. Hyndman put it in their (terrific!) Roadside Geology of Montana: {quoting…} It should have been called “Glaciated Park.” The mighty glaciers of the ice age are gone, and those that now exist in Glacier Park are puny and shrinking, hardly more than oversized snow patches. This is a poor place to see glaciers in action. But every part of the park bears the marks of enormous ice age glaciers that filled the valleys with groaning and creaking rivers of ice thousands of feet thick. During peak ice age glaciation, the cover of ice on Glacier Park almost became a continuous ice cap. To visualize the park as it then was, imagine a vast sea of ice with isolated peaks jutting above it as islands of exposed bedrock. {/unQuote} (David Alt and Donald W. Hyndman, Roadside Geology of Montana, 1st Edition, 1986, Mountain Press Publishing Co., Missoula, Montana; p. 60)

Remember this?! Seven years ago, the National Park Service began to remove signs posted throughout Glacier National Park claiming that the glaciers would disappear by 2020. 🗨️ “𝑇ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑟𝑎𝑝𝑖𝑑𝑙𝑦 𝑠ℎ𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑑𝑢𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑐𝑙𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒. 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑢𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑚𝑜𝑑𝑒𝑙𝑠 𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑔𝑙𝑎𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑏𝑒 𝑔𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑏𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟 2020.” The statement on the plaques were based on findings from a 2003 paper published in the Journal of BioScience. The authors used historical melting rates to simulate the decadal retreat of both the Blackfoot and Jackson glaciers for the years through 2100. They found that at current rates (in the early 2000s), computer models suggested that the Blackfoot and Jackson glaciers would completely melt by 2030, and because they are among the largest in the park—Blackfoot being the 2nd largest—the other glaciers would likely disappear by 2030 too. 🔗academic.oup.com/bioscience/art… The NPS notes on their FAQ page that the authors of the 2003 paper informally moved their 2030 melt-out date up to 2020 after finding that melt rates were accelerating, so signs around the park were stamped with predictions that they’d melt by 2020. 🔗nps.gov/glac/learn/nat… It is true that the glaciers are shrinking, but as usual, the worst-case scenario was wrong. Climate panic puppies never learn.

$IOVA - I want everyone to know that we have an amazing group of investors who bring so much value to the community. Several of them have massive number of shares. They have invested in the company longer than I have. They have endured the ups and downs over the years. They follow the company extremely closely. They provide with information that I have not looked into on a regular basis. Investing in biotech is a treacherous endeavor, and we have to help each other. This is why I refuse to take my research to other platforms to monetize for myself. Many have made hundreds of thousands on the tickers I have released both biotech and non-biotech. I don’t want you to be my customers. I don’t need your money. The only thing that I expect is that you would contribute positively to the community. If you share DD, whether it’s negative or positive, you have to back them up with evidence. You have to process it in your head before tagging me. You can’t simply say, “looks like they diluted again.” That’s not DD! We have to raise the bar on information sharing. Why am I expecting this? Because we are swimming in shark infested waters my friends. Shorts and manipulative traders are everywhere. Many of them follow me. They track my posts. We have to be careful about what we say. Does this mean if a company did something outrageous I won’t bring it up? Of course not! I called out one of my favorite management AQST for not making sure the FDA is all good with everything including the human factor trial. Management saw that several volunteers didn’t use Anaphylm correctly! They could have done another HF trial before submitting the NDA! There was no rush! Yet Dan Barber said everything looks like approval is coming. Nope! If IOVA does something wrong, I will point it out as well. But the dilution discussion is MANIPULATION at its worst. It’s the same tactic used by shorts and manipulative day traders on a daily basis. It’s a lazy move but unfortunately it’s worked so they keep using it. We are smarter than this. This community is better than getting misinformed by these sleazy shorts. We should be able to put information in context. When the company announced an additional 150 million shares to the OS one of them immediately said “the company wants to add 150 million shares to the ATM.” You see? Since when is the entire outstanding shares of a company is in its ATM? NEVER! But they want you to think like this: “The company is diluting and the share price will be stuck as long as it keeps doing it.” Really? Facts: Share prices go up and down regardless of dilution or not. Look at Rocket Lab and many other unprofitable companies that have diluted last year and see how much the stock has moved up! What about dilution and $IOVA? I released this ticker again at $1.78 last year and called it the most bottomed out biotech. Didn’t it hit $5.63? How did that happen? If you believed in the shorts’ narrative you would have missed this run! Baker Bros Advisors didn’t see this move coming from IOVA. I did. But $5.63 is peanuts. I want $20, $30 and beyond. All of that dilution and still. The truth is this is not unique to IOVA! It happens all over the place. Have you heard of catalysts like positive earnings and improved margins or positive trial data? These catalysts will always trump dilution. But shorts don’t want you to think that way. Is dilution always bad or should we examine the progress the company makes with the funds? Or is that too much work and we should just believe the FUD? Here’s another fact: Don’t be surprised if there will more dilution from Iovance! But don’t be surprised that the share price will still be at least $7 by end of this year with $10 still a strong possibility. Who are you going to believe? The lazy shorts or someone who actually provides evidence for his claims? You choose.

Are we getting in the 40s territory with $NVO? It feels like the narrative around the pill for $LLY is not as good as they hoped for. Feels like $LLY 'missed' the golden opportunity during its peak hype in Q4-Q1 period. What do you think?

@HatedMoats $NVO will need to stay ahead of patent cliffs like any other successful large pharm has. the key to that is selling what will become legacy weightloss products in large volume while expanding their high margin rare disease portfolio...which could have incredible cagr.

@HatedMoats falling/fallen glp1 prices. They lack pricing power. It will take years for production to ramp up to fully offset those volume prices to recreate sustainable margins, but then facing patent cliff. Amycretin likely fixes this...so 7yrs+

@HatedMoats and thats the key flaw ... "This will be the narrative now as long as the market goes up." one day you buy the dip and it doesnt come back up. It ends in a great depression style drop. or Japanese style lost decades. You'll be stuck eating rice and ramen for 30 yrs.

$NVO has had its price target cut to DKK 275 from DKK 309 by Citigroup, with the rating kept at “neutral.” The cut reflects lower estimates for Ozempic and CagriSema, with EPS forecasts for 2027–2031 reduced by 3–7%. Citi also lowered its peak sales estimate for CagriSema to $4.5B from $6.5B. While oral Wegovy is off to a strong start, Citi expects 2027 to be a challenging year with pricing and competition risks. #stocks #Investing

Alarming how bad @lyft is at fraud detection. It logged a ride from SFO to SF in 3 minutes. The driver never picked me up but claimed he did and I got charged. It should auto-flag an error. When I complained that I didn’t get picked up they sided with the driver Wtf

It is worth pointing out that the chart only shows income taxes. It completely leaves out payroll taxes (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid), which are a massive part of the actual tax burden on wages—and they’ve moved in the opposite direction historically. It used to be just 1-2% of total pay and zero before that. Now its 15%+ When marginal income tax rates were sky-high (1950s–60s), payroll taxes were tiny or nonexistent. Social Security started in 1937 at just 2% total (1% each side). Medicare didn’t even exist until 1965 and began at a fraction of today’s rate. The big jumps in FICA rates happened after the big cuts in top income tax rates (especially post-1980s) One metric decreased while the other skyrocketed
