🍿Now that the High Mileage Model 3 is back from its trip to Hamilton, Ontario, 🇨🇦, let's break down the stats of the road trip. Winkler ➡️ Hamilton (🇨🇦 route) Distance: 2,357 km (1,465 miles) Total Charges: 24 Total Cost: $139.65 CAD ($102.47 USD) Hamilton ➡️ Winkler (🇺🇸 route) Distance: 2,260 km (1,404 miles) Total Charges: 13 Total Cost: $171.21 CAD ($125.62 USD) The trip was a success and the drive home was made much, much easier with the new LFP battery pack. The guys were able to take advantage of the faster charging while also being able to drive 75-80 mph as opposed to doing the Canadian route where the speed limit was limited to 55 mph for a large chunk of the drive due to that part of the Trans Canada being two lane highway. Full cost of repair work done to Model 3 along with Dan and Dusty's thoughts on their first EV road trip through some of the most challenging parts of the Trans Canada Highway are to come later this month in our battery swap YouTube video.

@Drive_Protected @ElectrifyAm @Rivian Are you basing this on the number of kwh pulled in a period of time, or the number of miles obtained in the same time. Vehicle efficiency matters big time on a road trip.

Hot take from someone with an average understanding of DC Fast Charging. After 6 charging stops today, the Rivian R2 has far better charging performance on @ElectrifyAm and @Rivian Adventure Network charger than the Tesla network. I mean, even the worst charge I had today was still considerably better than anything I’ve seen on my Tesla Model 3/Y so I should probably not complain.

Truck came back from an 1800 mile round-trip to Vegas yesterday. Encountered bugs, dirt roads, rain, etc. Didn’t take a “before” pic, but you can imagine. No car wash or high pressure spray needed. Washed it with ONR, microfibers and a bucket in the driveway. This is what @Drive_Protected PPF does. 20 minutes later, and crystal clean again. So good! Even coming up on 2 years.

Got a text from one of my favorite and well-known-on-X-in-the-Tesla-community friends saying he’s coming tonight to pick up the @SpringdaleRobo SuperSeat-equipped office chair from a Model 3 Performance- complete with power recline, heat, and cool! Also upgraded soft-roll wheels. He’ll love it I’m sure. He purchased it several months ago, but was unable to get down here from Canada to pick it up ‘til now. I was always secretly hoping he would cancel the order so I would be able to take it to my office ha ha. It’s my favorite seat that my son and his partner have done. So comfy. They have three sold in the queue for Colorado pickup and a Cybertruck driver’s seat (not sold yet that can be yours!), but if you want one too with full power like this one, hit me up or reach out to the OG @TeslaTim2 on the west coast. If you already have the chair from Tim, Springdale sells the kit you can install yourself to electrify it in about 90 minutes!
