Grey Fleet compliance just got a whole lot easier. Many organisations still don’t realise they hold the same legal responsibility for employees’ private vehicles used for business travel as they do for company‑owned vehicles. With an estimated 14 million grey fleet vehicles on UK roads, that’s a huge compliance gap, and a major risk. That’s why we’ve launched Grey Fleet Checks within our Vision compliance platform. This new functionality gives organisations a smarter, streamlined way to manage grey fleet compliance, including: + Real‑time DVLA licence validation + AI‑supported insurance checks confirming business use + Centralised storage of MOT, servicing and tax information + Customisable policy requirements (vehicle age, Euro status, CO₂ limits, mileage and more) Grey Fleet Checks helps close that gap, reduce risk, and give organisations confidence that every vehicle used for business is safe, legal and compliant. To mark the launch, we’re offering a 20% early‑adopter discount. Learn more: logistics.org.uk/vision

Is this a compulsory or advisory speed limit? Do you know the difference? The speed limit on a road where you see this sign could be 40, 50 or the national speed limit for your vehicle. This sign is advisory. It is the recommended fastest speed to negotiate the upcoming bend safely. This could be because of the sharpness of the bend, the road narrows, the risk of oncoming traffic being in the middle of the road or many other reasons. It may also be accompanied by additional warnings signs. Always remember that speed limits, whether advisory or compulsory, are limits not targets. Assess the conditions to the limits and if 20mph is the safest fastest speed…. drive at 20mph.

Regular eye tests help to keep you and others safe when you're behind the wheel. If your health or fitness to drive changes, speak to your family and GP. A simple chat could make all the difference. #LookOutForEachOther

Data shows that drink drivers are more likely to be men, aged 25 to 49, who are travelling alone. Offences are more likely to happen on 30mph roads because offenders are more likely to be travelling short distances close to home, such as returning from a licenced premises. Drink drive collisions are more likely to happen when it’s dark. Do you know someone who drink drives? Are You Mate Enough to have a word before it’s too late? #OpLimit

Talking to your kids about safe driving is one of the critical chats that parents need to get right, for the safety of their child and anyone else that’s on the road while they’re behind the wheel. Make sure your young driver is prepared and responsible. #KnowYourLimits

Temperatures have dropped - take extra care when driving. Give yourself plenty of time to clear your windows and mirrors of ice and condensation before you set off. Slow down, be prepared for wet and icy road conditions, and leave extra time for your journey. #RoadSafetyWeek

Government @transportgovuk @Heidi_Labour @LilianGreenwood are beavering away at the new Road Safety Strategy, which, let’s be realistic, will have a 2026 date on it. Whilst we still wait … I want to connect two ‘things’ : 1. The @IPPR report on transport, including road safety ⬇️ ippr.org/articles/every… shows us high levels of support for interventions to reduce road danger. For example: ✖️ 56% of the public supports a national target to eliminate road deaths and serious injuries by 2040 ✖️ 87% of daily drivers would accept a journey delay if it made roads safer And the @TheRSTrust report finds that the public backs policies to make our roads safer ⬇️ roadsafetytrust.org.uk/news/british-p… 2. The packed room today in @HouseofCommons launching the ‘protect young drivers’ website. Quite inspirational to hear a series of speeches and to chat with many folk including @Beccysays (Chris) @SharronHuddles2 @PccJoyAllen The connection is that the public are up for radical change and so are those in the room today (and those who were turned away as the room was full) and so we just need to persuade @Keir_Starmer Moving the dial and moving forward 👍🏻👍🏻 Picture is @annalouisedixon MP and me. @VisionZeroWY did well with direct representation from Anna and @kimleadbeater and also from @DeputyMayorPCWY (Phoebe) and @Kate_Dearden (Amy) - thank you! Great to meet and natter to @david4lcs MP too promoting modern drug testing for drivers in addition to wider safety interventions. Good day. We just need Government to deliver. #TalkAboutRoadDeath #StopRoadDeath #GDL
