Agreed, but he does mention "in the context of what that money would have done in an index making 8-10% over the next 50 years" implies that he means more than once here and there. $28 even with compounding won't get you all that far. If that is what he meant then I agree it's a pretty obnoxious statement.

@AdamJMatlock @CryptoMikli I dunno. When I was 19 making <50k I ate bologna sandwiches for lunch. I think back then my lunch cost like 10 cents. You could probably do the same for under $1 today and a $1 Big Gulp you can definitely do better than $28 for lunch.

@Patschatz @AmericanAir Actually you don't have to carry the debt and you get points you can use for free flights. I also get upgraded for free pretty much every time I fly. Just always pay the card off and you will rack up points without ever paying them a penny of interest.

Every week we fly @AmericanAir Every flight about 40 min before we land we have to listen to a 5 min advertisement for their credit card. It is obnoxious. They drone on and on. Do they not realize that when we fly already pay crazy prices. They are delayed half the time. Can they pls stop with the obnoxious advertising to get people indebted. Rant over.
