On 32 Thoughts, Elliotte Friedman says that he thinks Martin Brodeur is the #NJDevils acting GM and given his history with Jamie Langenbrunner, if Brodeur has any say on the next GM he would push for Langenbrunner.

I agree with most of this but not the crossroads part. This team can make literally two moves and get the Luke Hughes we’re getting right now for a full season and they’re in great shape

And lastly the #NJDevils, who were quiet: -- Honestly not sure what to make of this whole situation now. No trades at all tells me ownership is punting all decisions, front office on down, to the offseason. -- GMTF told media after the deadline "I sure do" expect to be back next season. If that's the case and ownership has blessed it, then doing nothing today was bad, plain and simple. Whatever plans Fitz has had to get moving today and they didn't. -- Not sure there's a team in the league at more of a crossroads than NJ. VAN seems pretty hopeless, NSH is a mess, but NJ is just a puzzlement to me. Unless there's an aggressive overhaul in the offseason, don't know what to think of this franchise at the moment.
