Had the pleasure to work in the old tower in Dublin a few years back during a contingency. We worked an evening shift whilst the current tower got kitted out with a new worktop. If I ever decide to go back to Dublin in the future I'll have worked in all three towers. Tempting.

@Dunibear Because they dont understand the rules of the road, they cause more traffic as a result and are committing an offence. It’s two lanes until the merge point, but a lot of drivers don’t know this and believe it’s queue jumping.

Why do trucks always do this in a traffic merge?

@MikeMedFly Was going to get this but held off because I regularly drive 3 hours up north and back. I prefer the look of these compared to the Tesla’s.

So two months in and I can safely say the BMW i4 is by far the best car I’ve ever owned. Range is well over 300 miles, even now with colder temps, the driving options are magnificent and considering my commute is over 3 hours each way, it’s incredibly comfortable and fun! 10/10

@csljohnkirby @PolitlcsUK @UK_CAA Clearly it’s whilst they’re parked at the gate (the pilots aren’t stupid), he even makes a joke about taking off.

Why on earth were @UK_CAA rules being breached, cockpit doors are meant to be locked, These doors must remain closed and locked from the moment the aircraft leaves the gate until arrival at the stand after landing. In-flight cockpit visits are strictly prohibited under CAA / EASA security rules. No passenger is allowed into the cockpit during flight except: Operating crew (pilots assigned to that duty). Cabin crew with operational reason (e.g. meals, communication, medical emergency) and only with captain’s authorisation. CAA or authorised inspectors, security officers, or examiners, with prior approval. Surely @British_Airways have questions to answer here, and the @UK_CAA need to make a statement on it.

Interesting Garda helicopter chase at Dublin airport. The bikes were using the airport in an attempt to lose the helicopter. Great coordination by all those involved. I’ve had this happen a couple of times in the past, it doesn’t work, the helicopter just gets priority if needed.

@miami_rick When I first became a controller we rarely had 747s flying into our airport, so I spoke to my first 747 like it was my last 😂 now we get about 4 a week coming in, I love it! My favourite aircraft, you just know every pilot takes a minute to admire it as it goes past.

@IainDale Why the hell would trump tell the press first before consulting NATO and Zelenskyy. The press are not a priority at this stage. If he spoke to the press first, he’d be criticised for not consulting the other parties involved.

The only conclusion you can draw from that toe-curling press conference was that Trump was completely outplayed by Putin. Had there been anything substantive, Trump would have crowed about it. Instead all we got was non-specifics.
