Today Prof. Timothy Snyder welcomed a group of 🇺🇦veterans to Yale University. Among them was neo-Nazi Yan "Macgregor" Klishaiev from the Third Assault Brigade (rooted in the Azov movement). I have some questions: 🟥Why didn’t Yan wear his favorite Wolfsangel T-shirt — that old Nazi classic? Shrunk in the wash, or too honest for the Ivy League dress code? 🟥And why didn’t Prof. Timothy Snyder also secure an Ivy League invite for Yan’s friend “Kolovrat,” another Third Assault Brigade fighter with Hitler and swastika tattoos across his chest?

Trump never attempted to explain to the American public why Iran should be attacked without provocation He just did what Israel told him to do Now that the war’s failed, he’s warning random school children that Iran is two weeks away from killing them

JUST IN: A Trump judicial nominee was asked point blank: is Trump eligible to run for a third term? Their answer: “I would have to review the actual wording…” Sen. Chris Coons then asked every nominee in the room to confirm the Constitution bars a third term. Silence. Every single one of them refused to say it. Trump is appointing judges who won’t affirm the 22nd Amendment to his face. Never stop connecting the dots.

John Rees from Stop the War Coalition👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Makes an absolute show of this Sky presenter and totally debunks this myth that Palestinian solitary marches have even an iota of a link with antisemitic attacks. They don't - they're weaponising the term.

Rice already 50+ passes in the first-half. There's almost something classical about the combination - a no6 who dictates, excellent defensively, and Zubimendi (20 passes), at no8, a knitter, moving into space, playing quick passes to progress attacks

Something different tactically. Rice is playing as the deepest of the midfield-3 (possibly to manage Alvarez/Griezmann who drop into that zone), whilst Zubimendi and Odegaard are asked to play high between lines & behind the Atletico midfield-2. That combination lead to the goal.

Keir Starmer end-day analysis: he is wounded from the last two weeks but limps on to face his fate after the locals. — The PM finished the day in a better place than he started it. He got a rare victory winning tonight’s Commons vote with minimal rebellion. If he had lost it would have been close to game over. But No10 won the argument with Labour MPs that this was a political stunt from the Tories. Labour MPs decided to keep their problems in-house rather than give Kemi Badenoch the win. — Downing Street is relieved that what threatened to be a perilous Tuesday didn’t do much serious new damage. The sessions with Philip Barton and Morgan McSweeney ended without a killer blow. When it comes to the process on Starmer versus Olly Robbins, after hours and hours of testimony from all the key witnesses, there are arguments on both sides and no clear winner, maybe just two losers. — Philip Barton’s evidence was uncomfortable for No10 but his crucial caveat that he was not put under pressure over the substance of Mandelson’s appointment process gave the PM something of a reprieve. It could have been much worse for No10. — That means after two weeks of intense scrutiny on Mandelson, he has survived until the next flashpoint after the locals. As Bloomberg reported on Saturday, Starmer’s rivals think they need a ‘perfect storm’ of events to bring him down including an ‘emotional’ response from MPs to May 7 leading to a cabinet revolt. It remains unclear if Labour MPs have the stomach or plan to change leader now. It all comes down to the days after the vote. — Starmer will seek to move past the Mandelson scandal with a renewed focus on security, in terms of Britain’s defence, economy and energy supply as we reported a few weeks ago. He is planning a series of speeches and policy interventions on those topics.

Yin and yang. Uncompetitive, monopolised leagues mean teams like PSG and Bayern can be nicely rested and produce games like this. PL teams for whom pretty much every game is tight and difficult and can’t rest players at the weekend probably can’t, no.

King Charles is telling the United States government to prepare for a war with Russia by getting ready to defend Ukraine and “her most courageous people.” He reminds Congress that they fought together through two world wars, the Cold War, and Afghanistan. *The entire Congress clapped.

Morgan McSweeney reveals that Sir Keir Starmer held a meeting in mid-December where a decision was made to appoint Lord Mandelson as US ambassador There is no record of this meeting. There is no minute of the discussions or the reasoning behind the appointment at the time. The Cabinet Office simply can't find it. It does not appear to exist So a really significant meeting on the appointment of the US ambassador - one which has had huge ramifications for Starmer's premiership - only appears to exist in the memory of those who were present

As Finland continues to fund the brutal Dictatorship in Kiev, back in Helsinki 2 days ago, Finlands government passed 520 million euros in "austerity measures" spread over four years Health services took the biggest hit with 240 million euros in cuts including outpatient fees rising to 78.40 euros and day surgery to 257.20 euros along with reductions in central operations and municipal grants. Finlands crumbling public finances (the worst in the EU) are caused by slow growth high unemployment elevated oil prices and debt interest payments projected to reach 6.3 billion euros by 2030. The cuts come right after the EU approved a major "loan" for Ukraine, Finlands contribution is around 1.5 to 1.6 billion euros. The Ukroscam in full flow.

🔥NEW - buried in the bundle of documents from the Humble Address Keir Starmer was advised by the cabinet secretary Simon Case to do security clearance BEFORE appointment but ignored the suggestion. Case said (If you want a political appointment) "you should give us the name of the person you would like to appoint and we will develop a plan for them to acquire the necessary security clearances and do due diligence on any potential Conflicts of Interest or other issues of which you should be aware *before* confirming you choice" Which feels quite material .....
