@DudeRandom25 @GBNT1952 @IfindRetards Because you don't agree? Just asking questions, as anyone should. I still believe in trust, but verify, however, the sources (all media) have been so thoroughly poluted, one should be doing their own digging. At 250 years we should be celebrating dissent/discussion.

Ain’t got much to say today really. 14 years ago today, Ruane welcomed a son to the world. He starts high school soon. His dad has been gone for almost 4 years now. I still wonder if that Bronze Star he was denied may have changed his life. I’ll never know. But it haunts me.

Leaders need to stop gate keeping awards. We should never be denying awards based on rank. Let me give you an example: Meet my one of oldest and closest friends James (Jimmy) Ruane. Son of the famous American Jockey John Ruane (a big name in the 1950s). He joined the Army as a cook in his 40s and was one of the smartest and most capable Soldiers I ever knew. He joined me in the famed 101st Airborne Division in 2010. When I was a pre-command captain working as the operations officer for 2-502 Infantry, we had a brand new blimp with a camera on it which we were going to use to hunt insurgents and kill them. They were crawling around Zhari, Afghanistan back then. We needed an operator for the blimp and somebody recommended Jimmy…. a cook. Once I met him, I understood why. This guy was SMART. Smarter than me. Hell, smarter than everyone in the battalion. He figured out how to hunt bad guys FAST. 18 hours a day for 15 months, this man found bad guys and we killed them with our symphony of assets. Our little HQ tent got mortared many times. Folks died right outside frequently. Our tent riddled with shrapnel holes. We had to jump the HQ often because the Taliban got good at dialing in their 82mm mortars. The COP also got attacked directly and Jimmy would have to toss on his gear and help the defense. This was not a normal “FOBBIT”. He was directly responsible for the death of over 800 insurgents (yes I said 800). So I put him in for a Bronze Star (Meritorious). I figured hey, if the officers who are literally pushing paper are getting one, why not him? It was denied because he was only an E4. Too low ranking to deserve it apparently. I got one though. He always joked for years after to me “How’s my bronze star you’re wearing!?”. He was always humorous, but you could tell it bothered him. And it f**king bothered me too. Fast forward 13 years, he died. Broke, alone, an alcoholic, depressed, and had PTSD. Fighting with the VA for benefits. It wasn’t a suicide, his heart just gave out. To this day I always think what one simple piece of cloth and metal would have done to change the outcome of his life. Maybe nothing. Maybe everything. Miss you brother.

@AriFleischer It’s almost like there’s something that differentiates the two, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Same for the Hungarians after WW I. Their land was taken away and many of their people were dispersed to other nations. But Hungarian terrorism is not a thing. For Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran, terrrorism is all they know.

After losing World War II, Germany lost 25% of its territory and 14 million Germans were ethnically cleansed from Eastern Europe. And yet there hasn’t been a single case of Germans hijacking planes, blowing themselves up, or committing terrorist attacks like Palestinians.

@GBNT1952 I agree that extremists (Hamas fully and easily fits) are very real enemies. I don't know that villifying all of Islam is the right move. I don't know what the exact percentage of good/bad lies with Islam. But I do know religions/faiths of all kinds can be radicalized.

Concerns that I do have with the top-3: AJ - very poor defender at BYU, not a great 3PT shooter and the shot is a bit flat. DP - the playmaking was not there at Kansas and he looked noticeably less bursty at Kansas. Booz -

@TomiLahren @RepRyanZinke I have hiked in bear country and I can tell you for a fact that I prefer it over being in a mall. Malls aren’t “safe spaces.” You thought this was an edgy reply, but it’s just retarded.

@RepRyanZinke I mean… if you go hiking in the woods you accept the risk of that… if you want to hike in a safe space without wild animals in THEIR natural habitat, go to the fricken mall.

Last week, two grizzly bear attacks claimed the life of a hiker in Glacier National Park and seriously injured two others in Yellowstone National Park. These tragedies are a sobering reminder that grizzly bear populations have recovered well beyond sustainable levels, and it is past time for the federal government to delist them and give states the management tools they need to protect both people and wildlife. Delist the grizzly.

@margbrennan Why is a sitting senator telling our enemies what we are short on and why are you then putting it out publicly? We have a press that purposely undermines our national security for clicks.

After hearing the Pentagon classified brief on Iran war impact on US weapons stockpiles, Senator Mark Kelly says it is "shocking how deep we have gone into these magazines." He said the Tomahawks, ATACMS, SM-3, THAAD rounds, Patriot rounds, so those interceptor rounds to defend ourselves have been hit hard. He says it'll take years to replenish those stockpiles, which could affect a hypothetical US conflict with China. @FaceTheNation

@jasoninthehouse WTF is wrong with the @SecretService? There is something systemically wrong with the culture there. Incompetent & unprofessional when it comes to protecting the @POTUS, & now this type of stuff. Y'all need to take a look in the mirror & reassess yourselves. DO YOUR DAMN JOBS!

🚨🚨 SECRET SERVICE SCOOP: Here's the mug shot and arrest affidavit for the Secret Service Uniformed Division officer who was arrested just after midnight Monday morning on charges that he was naked and masturbating in a Doubletree hotel hallway near the Miami airport. Police allegedly caught him literally with his pants down in the act, according to the arresting affidavit. The Secret Service officer, John Andrew Spillman, had just assisted in providing security to President Trump over the weekend at the PGA tour at Trump's golf course in Doral, Fla. Spillman faces misdemeanor indecent exposure charges. Former Rep. Jason Chaffetz @jasoninthehouse, who spent years investigating the Secret Service as House Oversight Committee chairman, tells me the agency has a serious hiring and vetting problem as it struggles to deal with manpower issues. "There's a lot of good, heroic people there, but they were advertising [for agents and officers] on pizza boxes in the Washington, DC area -- come join the Secret Service." "And I've met some of those [who responded to the] pizza box-ads, and suddenly they're in the White House with a gun guarding the president. It's that bad."

Reminder Husbands: We love that you work hard in the yard in the summer time making the yards look nice. We love that you smoke meat on the grill for us to eat. But at bedtime we we don't want to snuggle up with you if you smell like you've mowed the yard or smoked on the grill ... we want you to smell of a clean for us ... like soap, deodorant, and toothpaste. No one wants to snuggle up to something that smells like an old goat. ~ Lea
