Frankly not much of a benefit to naturalization if you have PR and you’re from a first world country that isn’t completely cucked. I have gone through phases of considering it for lifestyle and ethnic reasons (I have Japanese ancestry) but for now I’m keeping my US passport for the options (and so that I can vote for Barron Trump in the future 😂)

@yakusou8 I read the newspaper every day and you would be hard pressed to find the grammar they test on N1. The vocab I mostly agree with though. The reality is that Japanese grammar at fluent level is not hard like it is in some western countries so they deliberately add esoteric ones

This delusion that the JLPT is filled with "extremely esoteric grammar and vocab" is everywhere. I can't stand it because even if it were true (it's not) it isn't a good attitude to have. It's just an excuse.
