Significant Weather Event – Dufferin County A Significant Weather Event has been declared across Dufferin County due to hazardous winter weather and deteriorating road conditions. Heavy snowfall and reduced visibility are creating dangerous travel conditions throughout the county. Road crews are actively working to maintain routes, but conditions remain challenging. All motorists are asked to stay off the roads unless travel is absolutely necessary. Reducing traffic allows snow clearing operations to work more efficiently and helps ensure emergency services can respond when needed. Reduced road load season began on Dufferin roads Sunday, March 1. During this time, there is a restriction of 5 metric tonnes per axle. Reduced load restrictions help protect roads during the spring thaw when road damage is most likely to occur. ℹ️ow.ly/SIju50Yp7VI
