@JayHovdey 2 of the greatest horse people I ever had the privilege of being around. As a boy I would stand in audience of Frank Whitely while he hosed the enormous ankles of Forego. David was just as good as his father and Charlsie is the benchmark for every woman to ever present racing.

@cmoreton99 One can see how the list evolved from the earlier one that you posted, at least in part due to there being fewer older readers who had strong recollections of horses that raced in the '30s-'50s.
