Pruning avocado trees helps improve sunlight, air circulation, and tree shape. It reduces diseases, supports stronger branches, and leads to higher yields and better-quality fruits.
Regular pruning = healthier trees and more avocados. @AnthonyEgeru @AnthonyEmaru

Maracuja 🍈 (passion fruit) + Avocado 🥑 a powerful integrated farming model transforming hillsides into high-value ecosystems.
This is more than intercropping it’s smart agribusiness.
By training maracuja vines along trellises while avocado trees grow as long-term canopy crops, farmers unlock:
✔️ Efficient land use (vertical + horizontal productivity)
✔️ Year-round income streams (short-term + perennial harvests)
✔️ Improved soil health & moisture retention
✔️ Natural microclimate regulation for both crops
✔️ Reduced risk through diversification
In regions like East Africa’s highlands, this model thrives where land is limited but potential is massive. Passion fruit delivers quick cash flow within months, while avocado builds long-term wealth, especially for export markets.
From a business lens:
• Passion fruit = fast turnover, local & regional markets
• Avocado = premium export value, long-term investment
• Together = resilience + profitability
This is how smallholder farms evolve into sustainable agribusiness enterprises , maximizing every square meter while protecting the environment.
The future of African agriculture is not just expansion it’s INTENSIFICATION with intelligence.
