Abuja people, the train running from Kubwa to Airport, do they have a train station inside the airport? Bolt fare to Lugbe wants to kíll my enemies and I need to go every 2 days 🥹.
@i_am_Ogee Just ask questions. I dey trek comot and stand for exit road and to take 200 niara taxi to main express by foot bridge and enter another taxi to anywhere. Just ask people around. But if u dey shame and no heavy load on you, just trek to exit road.
The first time I arrived in the UK, I cried inside the airport toilet.
Not because I missed Nigeria immediately.
Not because of the cold either.
It was because reality finally hit me.
For years, everybody back home made it look like once you enter UK, your problems automatically disappear. People will see your pictures online and start calling you “big babe” or “UK returnee.” They think pounds grow on trees here.
Nobody tells you the truth.
Nobody tells you that the first thing waiting for many Nigerians in the UK is loneliness.
I landed at Heathrow around evening time in November. The cold slapped me instantly. Not ordinary cold. The kind that enters your bones and makes you question every decision you have made in life.
I remember dragging my two overloaded Ghana-Must-Go bags while pretending I knew where I was going. Inside me, fear was dealing with me seriously.
Everything looked fast. The people. The trains. The announcements. Even the air felt rushed.
My cousin came to pick me up, but the way she greeted me weakly, I already knew I was not about to enjoy the “soft life” everybody in Nigeria imagined.
When we got to her apartment, I was shocked.
Six adults were living inside a small two-bedroom flat.
One person in the sitting room.
Two in one room.
Another couple in the other room.
Then me.
That night, I slept on the floor close to the heater with one tiny blanket. I could hear everybody snoring differently.
I stared at the ceiling and asked myself quietly:
“So this is abroad?”
The next morning, reality continued.
Bills.
Transport.
Council tax.
Internet.
Food.
Electricity
@itzchristunique The only part of the body that doesn't get cancer is the heart.
We have close to 400 types of cancer.
Dont worry live your life what will be will be. It's not how careful you are!
I am now at a stage in life where I no longer live in fear of anything. Those social media health influencers should stop tying alcohol and every lifestyle choice to cancer just to farm engagement.
A few years back, I spent time at LUTH and LASUTH, and many of the terminal patients I saw bedridden were devoted churchgoers. These were people who lived top-tier disciplined lifestyles, completely free from alcohol. I also witnessed a two-year-old child battling liver cancer, a ten-year-old fighting leukemia, and a senior parish pastor from one of the top Pentecostal churches suffering from a Grade 4 brain tumor (glioblastoma). I also saw a woman who refused to eat for 30 days while fasting and praying for her 21-year-old daughter, who had just graduated from the university and was suffering from an ischemic stroke. She would sit beside her and pray for 20 hours daily. After all the medical procedures, treatments, and surgeries, they still could not make it out alive.
Life has shown me that sickness does not always follow the rules most of these health influencers create online. Some people live carefully and still fall ill, while others live recklessly and still live beyond 70 years.
So live your life while it lasts. You do not own tomorrow. Be intentional about how and what people will remember about you when you are gone.
Good health habits matter, but they are not absolute guarantees.
@mumsijuliet@MrEazi105419 From what I read things weren't easy for them. What's wrong with using android for the mean time?
Those using android are not humans?
Crazy!
@MrEazi105419 My iphone got spoilt in feb, hubby asked me to use Android for a while although i hate it i just had to manage for a while till he was able to get me an iphone again, she should have accepted the phone ank keep pestering him for the iphone.
My guy sent his wife packing because of iPhone.
He bought the iPhone for her on the day of her engagement party. Two years after their wedding, things got a bit rough for them.
So one sunday, while they were dressed for church, they decided to make a Snapchat video with her phone. Unfortunately, the phone fell from the two storey building and shattered. Surprisingly, she refused to follow him to church that day.
The next day, he bought her an android phone for her, at least to be managing, but she rejected it. The young man still maintained his cool.
The following day at work, he had an emergency at work and needed to communicate with his wife on the phone. He tried his luck, perhaps she changed her mind, but her line was still switched off.
At the close of work, he rushed back home with anger and sent her packing. She begged and begged but his mind was made up already.
It's been 7 months and counting, but they're still apart. So if someone should ask her why she's not in her husband's house, she'd say it's because of iPhone?
Peter Obi came out of the church after the funeral service for the late Most Rev. Bishop Peter Nworie Chukwu and everyone started shouting Obi Obi Obi !!!
BREAKING NEWS: EFCC operatives have arrested Mustapha Abdullahi, Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, over an alleged ₦500 billion fraud. He was taken into custody in Abuja today.
Guys, please I need help at Ikorodu General Hospital.
My wife is in an emergency but no one is attending to her with the urgency that is needed.
She hasn’t been able to expel placenta for over 4 hours now, and everybody seems to be laid back about it.
@Abisco__ Omo I don’t pray for this type of marriage. Why will you post such thing online even your baby is present there
God I no want this kind thing o
There is an urgent medical information I want to pass across. This will save your life, pls come close.
If you ever see rotten tomatoes that looks like these pictures I posted, or if you ever see onions with black spots on them or you see corn with mould on it,
PLEASE RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.
Why do I say this?
All these food items are contaminated with a poisonous fungus called AFLATOXINS.
Aflatoxins are notorious for increasing the risk of liver cancer. When you eat food that has this type of tomatoes, or you eat food cooked with this kind of onions or you eat this type of corn you are at risk of developing liver cancer.
Only eat fresh tomatoes, fresh onions and fresh corn. Avoid rotten tomatoes, blackened onions or corn with mould (even if they are cheaper to buy).
This is not a threat or a joke.
This is a real life serious medical issue.
Kindly share this information.
I was set on marrying her. We’d been together 2 years and paid the list for the traditional wedding in December. The first red flag was small. She’d say she was with her cousin, but her location on WhatsApp showed somewhere else.
I ignored it. Love makes you explain things away. It got real at my dad’s funeral in November. She showed up 45 minutes late, wore jeans to the service, and left after the burial to “clear her head.” My aunt asked why my fiancée wasn’t helping my mum serve guests. I had no answer.
That night I saw a message pop up on her phone while it charged: “Miss you, when are we meeting?”
She said it was her ex checking on her and I was overreacting.
But I remembered how she rushed off when my dad was sick too.
I pictured 40 years of that. Me carrying everything, her choosing herself every time. I couldn’t see us raising kids like that.
My son’s wife got physical with me, and I ended up injured. A few hours later, my son texted: “Stay away from us.”
I replied, “Okay.” And I meant it.
The next morning, I quietly withdrew the financial support I’d been giving for their new house. Days later, their loan was denied….
