Mwalimu Karaba built a remarkable career as a teacher, principal, and education leader before serving as a two-term Member of Parliament for Kirinyaga Central and later as Senator. I join the people of Kirinyaga and the nation in mourning his loss, and extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all those he impacted. Update on the Odious Debts Petition Today, the matter has been adjourned to 28th April 2026. The IMF is pleading immunity. However it must be clear that immunity does not justify impunity. We remain steadfast in the fight to free our country from the stranglehold of Odious Debts. The Bretton-Woods framework may shield IMF from judicial processes unless they waive immunity, but justice cannot be silenced by technicalities. Just last month alone, the once-village man who knew nothing about selling cars closed deals for two SUVs worth KSh 30 million. Their marketing strategy is admirable, and the pair has quickly become an internet sensation. As we speak, Goliath wa Bungoma is in the process of finishing a three-bedroom bungalow back in Bungoma. A man who was once on the verge of sleeping on the streets is now living a comfortable life, all thanks to Patrick’s guidance and belief in him. There is a powerful lesson in this story: in life, you need a Patrick,, someone who believes in you, lifts you up when you are down, and helps align you with your destiny. Patrick is a great example of how men should support and uplift one another, especially those in vulnerable situations. If we stop looking down on others and humiliating fellow men the way Goliath was once embarrassed on public platform by Obinna, we can build a nation filled with confident, empowered, and successful men. May the Good Lord bless Patrick for empowering one of our own mlala hoi, rescuing him from the shackles of poverty and giving him a second chance at life.
