Key detail: the alligator appeared to already be dead. I suspect there are regulations against discharging firearms, depending on where they were in the Everglades. The arrest for assault is a separate incident. But important detail to mention that the alligator - by all accounts - was already dead.

I’ve hunted alligators in SC before and they say only pistols, but you must have it secured to a line before you decide to shoot it. And there are so few tags handed out in the lottery that you rarely hunt them

You can only legally shoot (hunt) an alligator with a regular firearm (rifle/pistol/shotgun) on land enrolled under the Private Lands Alligator Management Program and even then only from sunrise to sunset, under special landowner quotas/tags. That’s just ~11% of Florida’s total gator harvest. This does NOT apply to the Everglades. There is NO recreational alligator hunting with firearms (other than a bang stick on a restraining line) allowed in the Everglades, let alone the entire state. Straight from the FWC site: “The only firearm you are allowed to use in Florida to take an alligator is a bang stick, and it can only be used when an alligator is attached to a restraining line.” No free-swimming rifle/pistol/shotgun shots, tags or no tags. myfwc.com

CPAC 2026 has really given me hope for the American youth Every young man & woman here are all radicalized / based, j pilled, way further right than MAGA, and actively infiltrating the establishment. Everyone’s staffers are either groypers, far right, Othodox / Catholic, pro-white, or some combo of the above — even the ethnic pro-America nationalists support our people and mission. It’s beautiful to witness. Things will be a lot different the next 12 years. Healing is possible. The world is changing. All the Western countries far right are colliding in closed door meetings. Most access I’ve had to powerful global players of any CPAC in a decade. We are all aligned and aware of the hurdles. From Romania to Croatian and even Germany. There is a global coalition and nationalist movement gaining real traction. I am hopeful. Everyone is well dressed too. Aesthetics are coming back. Chicks are hot again too. No more fat women, everyone is classy. I’m liking this direction. You’d have to be here to get it.

@LegacyGrower @thevivafrei No, that’s not illegal. You can legally hunt alligators in the Everglades and you some form of a firearm to kill them. You just need to make sure you have a hunting license and tags to do it. I don’t think he had a license or tags and shooting already dead gators may be a crime.

@thevivafrei Correct. He hasn't been charged anything to do with the alligator, but will probably be charged at minimum for discharging a firearm in the Everglades, its highly restricted there because there's almost nothing to stop bullets.

If you used the same mechanisms of government against couples who are slightly outside the boundaries of what you believe is an acceptable age difference, that would result in the government dictating what is acceptable
