@FredLambert A sign of intelligence would be to take into account all the 'impossible' projects Elon has taken on and SUCCEEDED with. You STILL sneer at his proven prowess? Granted this is mind blowing, even for Elon, given what I am reading about the complexity, but is ANYONE can, its him->

There's always going to be "another piece of the puzzle". Elon sells dreams to investors. That's the current stage in his career. Elon was always obsessed with leading the AI revolution, and now he is seeing the AI wave pass him by. He desperately wants to attach Tesla and SpaceX to it, and this terafab-and-data-center-in-space nonsense is a desperate effort to make it happen.

South Africa’s 🇿🇦 black middle class moved from ~1.7 million to 5.6-7 million people between 2012 and 2024. ~ 64% of black Africans live below the poverty line compared to ~1% of White South Africans. We need to accelerate BEE to close this gap. Poverty & Inequality are evil!

@Crownbr @rodcampsbay so LOUDLY and INEXHAUSTIBLY smug, you draw attention to yourself where anyone, across the world can google about you. What do you think they see when they look closely? Black mentality is truly SPECIAL this side of the. Unfortunately we have to LIVE with it and not just Google.

I have just listened to Moeletsi Mbeki talk about land and farming. He says, quite rightly that black African people are not peasants anymore. They are city dwellers just like most of the other races. It’s doubtful whether they know much about farming, and their aspiration is not a piece of land with a few cows on it. So let’s not get confused about who provides us with our daily bread. It is the farmers, followed by the millers, followed by the bakers and followed by Pick ‘n Pay Shoprite Checkers and Woolworths. So away with your war against the farming community. By killing farmers you’re killing your own food supply. Some of you will be sharp enough to understand that, but many will just follow the anti-white rhetoric.

@TheJaundicedEye Gumede is moving like Prince Mashele these days. He's giving the haters of our democracy exactly what they want to hear, even if it means he has to lie and make up stuff in the process.

The ANC, Ramaphosa downwards, has knives out for Prof William Gumede over his demolition of the BEE scam. Latest bombshell: secret mining research found 46 politically connected people secured 60% of BEE deals, becoming millionaires or billionaires overnight. @TheJaundicedEye Gumede plays the DA game without making his research report on BEE public. The same Gumede wanted SA to immediately start trade talks with apartheid Israel last year, when the death toll then was over 30 000.

How do you become a farmer when you have been excluded since the 1913 Land Act? It’s untenable for white people to own 80% of the land and black people 3% of the land. Just like the white people did, black farmers can become farmers with extension services and adequate funding from the likes of the Land Bank. It is stupid to include a whole race from farming because according to some opinion black people have no culture for farming.

I've not said anything about your report because I have not read it. "Credibility bias?" You can find numerous opinion pieces, radio and TV shows where I critiqued HOW BEE was being implemented. Perhaps I can help redirect you to what we are talking about here -not the merits of BEE but a media house misrepresenting content and attributing a reader's opinion to a significant global stakeholder like @IMFNews . It is precisely because of the stature of the IMF and the importance of the topic itself that many of us were interested to engage with the findings. So I am not sure what "credibility bias" you are talking about. But just to be clear, I am NOT neutral about the media distorting, misframing and misrepresenting information. Lastly, multiple things can be true at the same time. You have a report on BEE, but there has also been lobbying and campaigning on the subject in South Africa and Washington DC. I know this for a fact. I know that some of the output has not been organic and was well timed last year. I remind you that I have not read your report and have NEVER posted anything on it. Why would you think my comments on the lobbying that I have seen and its published and broadcast iterations has anything to do with you? I've never linked you to it. You need not feel implicated.
uSakhile kaMkhulunyelwa@ASZulu

I'm not sure if "artificial narrative" here refers to our joint study as the FMF with the Solidarity Research Institute (SRI) on the economic costs of BEE (both direct and indirect). Based on what you've said, it would appear that the study doesn't meet your criteria of credible scholarship. This is a pity because this is one of the few scholarly interventions that makes a good faith attempt to quantify the costs of BEE with real figures. There is clearly bias from you and others like Redi Thlabi, and it is precisely this bias that is making it very difficult for us to even have that discussion.

@elonmusk its curious.why do it so foolishly?the fraud can be done far more cleverly, without in-your-face OBVIOUS dumbfoolery. Its in many ways a psy-ops.How much can the public take, how much can they be hoodwinked-be willing participants in their own suffering.Diabolical

No voter ID, especially when combined with mail-in ballots, means the system is engineered to make fraud impossible to prove. Everyone knows that you can barely get through your week without showing ID for the most banal activities, like shopping at Costco. The only reason to ban ID is to hide massive voter fraud.
Katie Miller@KatieMiller

The reality is there's mass amounts of cheating in our elections. Just because there's an engineered lack of data, does not mean there isn't data to the contrary. The new CBS/YouGov poll shows that 80% of Americans support Voter ID including 80% of black Americans & 77% of Hispanic Americans. Yet why is it that Congress seems so intractable to wanting to pass a such a popular policy?

I went to Clicks to buy plugs, on the shelf it was R200.00 when I got to the till it was R203.00. After paying I asked why am I paying more when at the shelf it was R200 not R203. The lady went to check for herself and called her manager for a R3.00 refund…. As I was waiting for this R3 refund, I had a business meeting in my head, called an urgent board meeting, there was only 1 item on the agenda. Agenda 1. Was waiting for the R3 refund worth the time I waited for the lady to go check and call her manager? The debate ensued, 1. there was nothing in store that was worth R3 so even if I wanted to buy something I would have needed to add more. 2. I had been at this shopping complex for over 3 hours so my parking ticket is way more than R3 3. When I buy puffs from the street hawkers I pay R5 4. The other store where I left they were charging me R6 for a bag, I said NO and I left 5. The R3 is my money, the store mustn’t overcharge customers, imagine if 100 000 customers left their R3, who benefits from that money? The Board in my head then voted, the verdict was I had to wait for my R3.00
