Base Food Cost (%) is such an interesting metric. It’s the lifeblood of any restaurant: the raw cost of a dish divided by the price you charge for it. However, there’s no North Star/corporate standard. If I talk to 10 different operators, I’ll get 10 different answers. It’s interesting to have so many differing opinions on something so fundamental. What base food cost % do you see in your restaurant?

The pricing hasn’t been released to franchisees‼️ What’s frustrating about content curators is that they have no clue what they’re talking about. They post for clicks, not truth. @McDonalds drives clicks, so that’s why we always get pulled into posts. Side note: I’ve had this burger. It’s really good. Customers wanted a larger sandwich, so we made one: 3 slices of cheese, 1/2 lb of fresh beef, huge bun, and some premium toppings. My guess: it will be priced about $1.50 more than the Double QPC. If you don’t want a huge burger, we have a $5 meal deal. You decide.
