🦅💰⛺️💩 : Auditor General Karen Hogan reports that $6.5 billion in First Nation grants were handed out by the Federal government without oversight or accountability for how the money was spent. Former Liberal MP Randy Boissonnault & PPC candidate David Yeo both came under fire for running two person companies, as a type of shell company, to get FN specific contracts. These contracts would come with signing bonuses of upwards of 18% for the 2 person companies. David Yeo raked in $1.4 million on Arrivecan, as a signing bonus. In the case of Randy Boissonnault, there was not even a FN co-owner for his two man company. Instead his business partner claimed there was another Randy. FN communities struggle with overcrowded homes & boil water advisories while tens of billions in funding evaporates. Something stinks & it's not just the sewage in the tap water. The Federal government ensured there wouldn't be accountability over how this money is spent. FN grants are being used to launder taxpayer $$$ to government insiders. This is something all opposition parties complained about, but never bothered to pass a Bill to criminalize it, when they were in a position to do so.

As a First Nations person living in British Columbia, listening to the BC Conservative Party candidates try to divide this province is always disappointing. Negotiations and collaboration are the pathways to success. Not this.

Jesse, it the constitutional division that differentiates British Columbians by aboriginal status that is the divisive element. You can’t have harmony built on different rights for different people based on race or ancestry. This is a proven fact of history. The only way to eliminate division is equality. Again, proven fact of history. Section 35 creates division. It divides Canadians into two categories and awards rights based on that difference. DRIPA does the same thing and thus also creates division. Do you really think that harmony will result from different rights of access to Provincial Parks, different economic benefits from resource development, one group having veto powers over the other, different access to vaccines, vast land transfers based on race/ancestry, one group paying less tax, one group determining dock laws for another, etc? Seriously. No, harmony arises only from equality.
