@DustinTerpstra @BleedOilBlue Preseason tickets I consider throw aways. Can't sell them etc. So I only go by regular season games for seat price $144.68 last year. Next season is $144.07. So on a regular season game basis the price is actually cheaper.

I know Edmonton Oilers playoff tickets are crazy, but I think the NHL and the Oilers offering weekly payment options for season tickets is a good idea.

Its fine, but you start paying before this season is even over. I prefer the 8 installment plan for myself. Happy season seats didnt go up for next year. But playoff seat prices this year are beyond ridiculous. My upper bowl 2 seats are $16,800 if there were 16 games, and finals tickets are $903/seat per game.

To deny them is a slap in the face to players Nikita Kucherov who dedicate their lives to improving their skill level--at their benefit, yes--and thus enhances the entertainment value of the sport. Today I learned that if the officials don’t show up to an NHL game for whatever reason and nobody can agree on replacements, both teams just … pick a player. The player from the home team acts as referee while the visiting player gets to be a linesman. This is an actual NHL rule

@MitchyGallo @CoffeeSacred Maybe you can argue Dubnyk but he was on an awful Oilers team and at the time still set the franchise single season save percentage record and was also 2nd and 4th on the franchise single season list at the time. Was great for the Wild who were an awesome defensive team.

Talbot - best GAA and S% of his career as a starter (>50% games started) came as an Oiler.
Skinner - numbers basically the same in Pittsburgh as Edmonton
Brossoit - never started more that 22 games in a season. Career best 1.99 GAA .928 w/ Oilers
