Midterm primaries often have low voter turnout, but this year may be an exception.
President Donald Trump's retribution against senators who opposed early redistricting has led to more competitive challenges than usual. Scandals, dirty campaigning and fundraising disparities have added to the intrigue around the May 5 Republican primaries.

You don’t think we’ve double checked simple signage procedure and haven’t consulted the state’s top election official directly on what we are doing?
The flaming lib mayor of Terre Haute is just mad he’s about to lose his RINO mouthpiece in the state legislature.
Brandon Sakbun@BSakbun
Stop putting signs in the public right of way where they shouldn't go & on private property without permission. People have complained to local officials about this. Also the last group at least bought IU gear to pretend they knew our state. Hit up the local sports store please.

It’s pouring down rain in Brazil, Indiana. 🌧️
That won’t stop our door knocking efforts!

Tomorrow is decision day.
There are two visions for our state. We can either (1) stick to the status quo, just going along to get along, or (2) we can send fighters to Indianapolis to rebuild what has been lost and find our way again.
A vote for my opponents would be the former, a vote for me the latter.

No escorts.
On Trump’s plan to “guide” ships through the Strait of Hormuz, via WSJ:
“The new effort, which Trump dubbed "Project Freedom," is a process through which countries, insurance companies and shipping organizations can coordinate moving traffic through the Strait, according to a senior U.S. official. It doesn't currently involve U.S. Navy warships escorting vessels through the strait, the official said.”

The truth is, 1 man is to blame, and it's not Trump.
Average price per gallon by president:
Obama ('09-'16) - $2.00 - $4.11
Trump ('17-'21) - $1.99 - $3.36
Biden ('21-'25) - $2.68 - $5.82
Trump ('25-pres) - $3.49 - $5.50
The real reason it hurts to pay at the pump isn't the rising cost of fuel, it's the devaluation of the dollar.
Our government has not had a balanced budget for 25 years. You could absorb the current fuel price if our government wasn't taxing us to hell and spending our money hand over fist.
With all that aside, personal accountability needs to return.
If you buy a $60k truck and make $900+ a month payments + insurance, that is a personal choice.
If you need that $60k truck in order to work and can not afford it, that is called a bad business model.
If you failed to calculate for fluctuating fuel costs, that is also no one else's fault but your own.
Fuel prices rise and fall with each president. They will also increase over time. The next president will see higher highs and lows as well.
I understand this is not a popular take, but let's consider who is really to blame here...
It's not Trump's fault that you can't afford to drive a Duramax.
The truth is, 1 man is to blame, and it's not Trump.
It's you, me, and every other man who had their heads up their butts while our government ran wild with our money.
Still, they will convince you it's his fault so that they can keep screwing you over while they make 17,000% returns on the stock market while they are holding congressional seats.
Put the blame where it belongs.

Shut your mouth nerd, You’re not “winning the narrative,” you gaslighting little weakling, you’re just a 23-year-old TikTok educated nobody with a YouTube channel jerking off to anti-Trump clickbait while real people deal with the consequences of weak leadership that let Iran get this bold in the first place.
“Oh they’re scared”? The only thing scared here is your fragile ego after Scott Jennings exposed you live on CNN for the performative little twerp you are. Nobody takes you seriously and you wouldn't talk any of your shit to someones face.

@BenRemaly Only differences are stuff like not every employee would have lost jobs, equity holders would not have been wiped out, travelers would not have been abandoned. So really no diff unless you think these are important. Ideologues don’t.

In an alternate world where the DOJ approved the merger, Spirit would no longer exist.
In the current world, Spirit no longer exists.
What am I missing?

David Shepardson@davidshepardson
.@SecDuffy: History judges the Biden decision to reject the Spirit JetBlue merger in 2024 as a "massive mistake" reuters.com/markets/deals/…
English

This seems unfair. First the govt refuses to let Spirit save itself with a merger and now refuses to rescue it from bankruptcy.
