So let me get this straight, @CyrilRamaphosa is actually standing there with a straight face telling me: I’m not allowed to open my mouth and say “it’s illegal to employ me because of my skin colour.” I’m not allowed to call it racial discrimination when laws deliberately lock me out of jobs, contracts, universities, school admissions, sports teams, and entire industries. I’m not allowed to mention the giant flashing neon sign that says RACE on every single one of these race laws, because the second I do, I’m magically transformed into a “white supremacist who refuses to be equal.” And because I’m definitely not allowed to feel hunted, cornered, and persecuted, because the moment I say it out loud, the state and its media lapdogs will unleash a full-scale propaganda war to smash my “dangerous narrative.” In other words shut up, smile, and thank him for the boot on my neck, because complaining about the color of the boot makes me the real racist. That’s the message, loud and clear, and that's exactly why @POTUS is handing us a lifeline.
