After getting roasted by some very reputable people on here about the design of my vibe-coded OutdoorLog app, I decided to take the feedback seriously and make a few updates. Dark/light mode, cleaner dashboard, improved stats, better logbook cards, and a more polished mobile experience. Thanks to everyone who gave feedback and suggestions over the last couple of days. You’ve genuinely helped me improve the app and inspired me to keep going. It’s scary building something from scratch and sharing it publicly, but the feedback, support, and brutal honesty make it worth it.

Someone built a fitness app using the same psychological mechanics as gambling This might work better than every normal fitness app 😭😭 You bet money on whether you’ll hit 10,000 steps today If you fail, you lose your money If you succeed, you split the money from everyone who didn’t So disciplined people literally profit off lazy people Most fitness apps try motivating you with streaks and notifications This one motivates you with financial fear Imagine realizing at 11:52pm you still need 1,700 more steps or you lose $30 Entire friend groups would be outside walking laps around their neighborhood before midnight trying not to lose their steppa challenge It sounds stupid but this would probably motivate people better than any other fitness product Would you use this yourself?

Having MEMORY LOSS from depression and trauma is a weird experience because people don’t understand how scary it is when depression and trauma start affecting your memory. Like you really start forgetting whole moments of your life, conversations, things people told you, how you used to act, and even parts of yourself. It’s like your brain got so overwhelmed from surviving everything that it started deleting things just to protect you.

@vivoplt I disagree, you can start vibe coding from scratch and learn as you go. That’s the approach I took and both my apps are thriving! You can vibe code for fun at first, try a bunch of different things and take notes, it’s a lot of fun!

Vibe coding is for experienced developers. Do not start vibe coding until you truly understand the fundamentals first.

Being a clipper in 2026 is so much better than a creator/KOL You make WAY more money You can infinitely scale (hire people under you, make more accounts) And the biggest bottleneck (make more content) doesn’t exist as there’s unlimited content If I was starting today I never would’ve been a “creator”, I would’ve just been a clipper I think platforms will eventually push back against it as original creators grow frustrated with the rise in clipping and they can’t compete But not stopping anytime soon
