@thinkdefence They supplied us with weapons and fuel, wishing us good luck, but wasn’t the head of the CIA pro-Argentina, withholding information about the incoming conflict from us and continuing supply of satellite imagery to them throughout the war? Not to mention France 🤢

@TBrit90 Looks like the bomber which came in and out again on the 12th is the same one which came back on 22nd and out again 24th (unless weathering patterns are repeated intentionally for opsec?) either this is the same one returning or it went on patrol and this is the other (I presume)

Just putting this out as an example of how easy stuff is to track nowadays. Lets check back later today to see what these 2 tugs from Clyde are going to meet.

@TBrit90 Any ideas on where T83 would be built? Are the old Govan sheds still required for T26 now they have the new hall?

@TBrit90 I think a destroyer gap will be unavoidable, even if we ordered them and started construction this year we wouldn’t have the first of class through trials before 2038, assuming the timeline will be similar to Type 26. 6x T45 is already small, LIFEX would be a capability gap

@DarrenMcLean_uk Cooper Union Foundation Building, New York, 1970s renovation. Notable for being built with a round lift shaft years before the first ‘elevator’ safe for people to use was invented

@Keg767 I’ve only flown on the A333 once, damn thing went tech over the Atlantic and we returned to JFK 2am Christmas Day, good aeroplane but the replacement A350 was superior. TCX A332s in the 2010s seemed far better than this ex Qatar EI- machine

@MerseyFerries Is there a ticket option to stay on board for a whole day during this final weekend for Royal Iris, or is one expected to buy one ticket for each round trip? Is the final sailing with passengers still scheduled as 4:20pm on Sunday from Seacombe? Thanks 👍

“She’s carried passengers for over 60 years and given a lot of service to the City Region, so saying goodbye is tinged with sadness. The engineering team have done an unbelievably fantastic job keeping her going all this time! Countless memories made for the vast number of people that have been on that vessel from all over the world. I’ll miss seeing the traditional colours and the name the Royal Iris, which is synonymous with Mersey Ferries. "On the upside, it opens the door to a new era, which is really exciting. It’s time to embrace another Royal and we’re really looking forward to seeing that and making new memories on board.” Dave Poole, Customer Operations Manager #FarewellRoyalIris #FerryCrossTheMersey

@TBrit90 Richelieu was the obvious name with a few other solid ones, there’s still plenty of time for this awful choice to be reversed. I can’t see the name surviving through multiple governments, with a decade before she’s launched. I haven’t seen a single person defending the name yet.

On every expedition, I tuck a laminated piece of paper into my boots with Matthew 28:20 on it: “Be sure of this, that I am with you, even to the ends of the earth.” A quiet reminder that we are never truly alone.

Amongst all the gloom, it seems that rumours of one long dead ship returning to life, might finally be coming true. After 629 days laid up, RFA Tiderace returns to life on AIS... (The other auxiliary is the hard worked @RFATidesurge which arrived on 2/3/26)
