I didn’t get married till 34….2 weeks short of 35. I also had fallen in love and had my heart shattered in my 20’s. It’s hard after heartbreak. Took me about 5 years to recover and I was so fortunate to meet my husband. We had 2 bio kids, then one child adopted at birth. Then 20 yrs later we became foster parents through DCFS …after a year we got full custody of a teenage girl … . happening now! We have had her 2 years; going well.

@Stop__The__Lies @Kristinartz Wow. I am 65 and never married. I am not toxic or man hating. I fell in love once, had my heart shattered and never wanted that pain again. I did go on to adopt 3 older children from foster care, gave them my name, love, money and time. I’m now a grandma. Don’t stereotype.

The Golden Girls, but with today’s hair and styling. From big 80s perms to sleek, fresh looks, Blanche is out here serving main character energy, Rose looks like your cool aunt who does Pilates, and Sophia and Dorothy still delivering one liners with the best of them. Do you think the comedy would still hit the same today?

@danielle819 @DefiantLs “No one hated trans people”…. no one HATES trans people now! We simply acknowledge that these people have mental illness, and supporting delusional thinking is not compassionate

@DefiantLs You do realize over 30 years ago the biggest stars were in a movie about accepting trans people, and people loved it. No one hated trans people until this administration learned they could monetize and get votes through hate.

@DynamicTess @MichelleMaxwell Heartbreaking. My husband & I adopted a baby. We tried to make her life as wonderful as possible. Everything was great until high school and she joined “young life “ Now we have a 26 year-old polite stranger. I don’t know what happened.

We had a 70 year old retired teacher coming to our house to tutor our youngest child. We have a special needs daughter who was always home when the tutor came. I noticed the tutor was always interested in my special needs daughter. Anyways… after about 6 months, summer rolled around, so I told the tutor we don’t need her to come any more. She cried and begged me to let her keep coming over. I relented and let her keep coming. One day, as she was leaving, she told me she wanted to confide a secret to me. She said that when she was 35, she was pregnant w her 3rd child (married for years to same man). She got an ultrasound at 8 MONTHS and it concluded the baby had Down Syndrome. She said she was not “meant to be” the parent of a special needs child, so she had an abortion. The baby girl was born alive.. she held it in her arms until it died (she thought this was compassionate and kind). She said that she watched me w my special needs daughter and it made her feel good to be near my daughter. She was crying, so I said “You would probably make a different choice now”… to which she said she said no… that she made the right decision. 😢. I think she was trying to convince herself… it was clear to me that she had loads of guilt and remorse. She was so drawn to my special needs daughter. I kept her on another 6 months, and then I let her go with a text message instead of a phone call, so I held to it. I have often thought of that woman and the obvious pain she felt so many years later.

Kids are waking up, and that last line says it all: “I didn’t ask to be taught this.” Enough already. This isn’t education. It’s emotional validation for adults at the expense of children’s minds, and it only creates more confusion and division. Parents want schools teaching math, reading, science, history and real-life skills, not identity obsessions and social programming. More families are choosing homeschool and private school for a reason.

Here it is; PURE EVIL ON AMERICAN SOIL: Babies’ hearts cut out and their faces cut through while still alive to obtain brain tissue. According to Dr. Theresa Deisher, babies are born alive at five to six months, and their beating hearts are removed without anesthesia for research; researchers also cut through their faces to collect brain tissue. “The babies are still alive when the researchers start extracting the tissue, to the point where their heart is still beating, and they’re generally not given any anesthetic, because that would disrupt the cells that the researchers are trying to extract.” • PAMELA ACKER, Biologist “Included the lung of the fetuses?” “Yes.” “Included skin?” “Yes.” “Kidney?” “Yes.” “Spleen?” “Yes.” “Heart?” “Yes.” “And this was just one study. So I’m going to ask you again: In your entire career, how many fetuses have you worked with?” “Um, well, I don’t remember the exact number, but, uh, quite a few when we were studying them originally, before we decided to use them to make vaccines.” “Do you have any sense? I mean, this one study had 76. How many other studies did you have that you used the aborted fetuses for?” “I don’t remember how many.” “You’re aware—are you aware—that one of the objections to vaccination by the plaintiff in this case is the inclusion of aborted fetal tissue in the development of vaccines and the fact that it’s actually part of the ingredients of vaccines?” Big Pharma + Planned Parenthood.

@OwenShroyer1776 #1) Buy direct flights if possible. If your closest airport doesn’t fly direct, drive up to 3 hours to another airport that does have a direct flight #2) Put an airtag in your suitcase #3) Use the airline app to re-book if possible

I would love to walk around with you in my back pocket 😂. You frame everything so clearly. I did the job… just not as articulately as you. We adopted a child at birth who had mental issues… autism spectrum, anxiety, depression, anger. It was a nightmare. But when she was 16 she informed us she was a they/them etc… And I heard her therapist tell her that we (her parents) don’t know her and she knows herself better. And “God loves Trans ppl”. We totally blocked the therapist, threw away both of her computers and bought new ones w parental controls on everything… and a new phone w everything blocked. Then we sold our house and moved to a conservative city and put her back in Catholic school. In 6 months she had a boyfriend and the “trans” phase was over. But it was a total nightmare

Boss complained that the company couldn't afford to give salary raises. So they resorted to hiring and firing aggressively to cut costs. This only made the matter worse. He sought advise "What's the average raise request you've denied?" I asked. Boss : "About 15-20%." "And what are you paying new hires?" Boss : "Market rate. Usually 30% more than internal folks." "So you won't pay someone 15% more to stay, but you'll pay someone else 30% more to start?" He shifted. "That's different." "What about Sarah?" I asked. Boss : "She asked for 18K more. We said no. She left. You just hired her replacement." Boss : "Yeah. Took three months to fill." "What did you pay the replacement?" Boss : "85K." Sarah was making 62K. Asked for 80K. "Right." "So you saved 18K by saying no, then spent 23K more to get someone new. Plus signing bonus?" "10K." "What about lost productivity while they ramp up?" "Maybe six months to get to Sarah's level." "That's another 30K in lost output. Plus recruiting costs?" He opened a spreadsheet. "Recruiter was 17K. Training about 15K." I wrote on his whiteboard: - Salary increase: 33K - Signing bonus: 10K - Lost productivity: 30K - Recruiter fee: 17K - Training costs: 15K Total: 105K "You spent 105K to avoid paying 18K." He stared at the board. "How many Sarahs did you lose this year?" "Twelve." "So you burned 1.2 million to save maybe 200K in raises." A few months later, he called. "I just approved every raise request in the queue." "All of them?" "Cost me 340K. Would have cost me 2 million in replacements." "How'd your team react?" "Shocked. Then productive. We're hitting numbers we haven't seen in years." Here's the truth about retention economics: Companies will spend a dollar to save a dime. Then spend ten dollars to fix what broke. We treat current employees like costs and new employees like investments. But retention isn't an expense. It's the highest ROI investment you'll ever make.

@DynamicTess @angelik_who @Simon_Ingari @dangainor He, wife, daughters, dog and pig flew to help toss Poppins into the water. Guess it's something people do that helps the birds every year. He sent a pic of the pig in his lap>dog looked pretty disgruntled at losing his lap spot. Probably wanted to push her in the water, too.

@Chassy_TheGr8 @AMekroun I don’t think so. I was a pediatric ER nurse and saw 12 yr olds pregnant, and now as a foster parent saw 12 yr old mother. This is called rape. A 12 yr old is not old enough to consent.

My father stepped in and protected me when I was 18 yrs old… I was a runner and I ran in the neighborhood pretty much every afternoon. I started noticing a red truck was always driving by when I was running. So, I always went crooked ways home through yards so he couldn’t follow me. One day it was pouring rain, and I went for a run, assuming he wouldn’t be out looking for me. I forgot about him… till I got home soaking wet and stood at the front door to take my shoes off. I looked up and the red truck was stopped right there, in front of my house. Went inside to take a shower and told my sisters and my mom. My dad got home from work a couple hours later, and that man was still out there, parked across the street. My dad got his gun. Dad got in his car and drove to the red truck… and the guy took off. My dad tailgating the guy for at least an hour. He finally stopped. My dad walked over w the gun in his waist holster, and very clearly told the man that if he ever followed me again, he (my dad) would kill him. That was the end of that… never saw the man again. My dad took care of it!!

She remembers a childhood filled with privilege—beautiful homes, private schools, and long afternoons by the pool in a quiet corner of Asia. On the surface, it looked like a perfect life. But one memory never faded: the day a man, seemingly out of nowhere, tried to humiliate her by holding her head underwater. In a place that felt safe, something suddenly felt very wrong. In that moment, fear replaced innocence. She recalls the panic, the confusion—until her father stepped in. His presence was immediate, protective, and unwavering. He pulled her out, confronted the situation, and restored a sense of safety that had been shaken in seconds. It wasn’t just about stopping what happened. it was about showing her she wasn’t alone. Years later, that memory isn’t just about fear. It’s about protection, trust, and the quiet strength of someone who shows up when it matters most. Even in a life filled with wealth, that moment redefined what safety and security truly meant, not money, not status, but knowing someone will stand up for you when you can’t.
Dr. CZ@AngelMD1103

There are people in their late 40s who quietly feel like nothing excites them anymore, no hobbies, no motivation, no real sense of enjoyment. From the outside, it can look like disinterest or laziness, but on the inside, it often feels more like emptiness. Life becomes routine, not because they want it that way, but because it’s all they have the energy for. Sometimes this feeling is tied to burnout, long-term stress, or even conditions like depression, where the ability to feel pleasure, what clinicians call anhedonia, fades over time. Other times, it’s the result of years spent prioritizing responsibilities over personal fulfillment, until one day, there’s a disconnect between who they are and what they actually enjoy. The important thing to remember is that this isn’t the end of the story. Feeling stuck doesn’t mean being stuck forever. Small changes, new environments, meaningful conversations, or professional support can slowly rebuild that sense of interest and purpose. The question isn’t “Why don’t I enjoy anything?” it’s “What’s one small thing I’m willing to try next?”

Since you brought up Tom Sawyer… one of my mother’s favorite stories:: I was in 2nd grade and a boy in my class was named Tom Sawyer. Apparently I didn’t like him. So I scratched “I hate Tom Sawyer” on my school desk. My mother went to the parent-teacher meeting and the teacher said she was upset about what I wrote, and that my parents should punish me. My mom said “I didn’t know she read the book!” . When the teacher explained that it was a classmates name… my mom couldn’t stop laughing at the whole misunderstanding and the teacher was furious w my mom. But my mom thought it was so funny, she didn’t care 😂
