With all due respect to our mayor the sport of soccer and the seeds of soccer in this city was not planted by the Houston Dynamo it was an effort over history .
They have benefitted from all the professional history before including the Houston Stars in the 60's, The Houston Hurricane and Summit in the 70's, the Houston Dynamos 80's, and the Houston Hotshots in the 90's.
This is before we get into the major contributions of the youth, college, adult, and semi professional game.
