To be honest, you don't actually have a business. You have a business based on exploitation, which means your business model is neither sound nor ethical.
Peter McCormack 🏴‍☠️🇬🇧🇮🇪@PeterMcCormack

A minimum wage of £15 would end my coffee shop, it would have to close, as would many other businesses. I’ll explain for the economically illiterate. Staff costs are currently half our costs, a £15 minimum wage is actually more than £15 an hour for the company, because you have to add: - 12.07% holiday - Sick pay - Maternity pay if and when required - National insurance - Pension contributions These costs would mean the shop loses money because remember, energy costs are up, rates are up, regulations are up. Now you can pass these costs onto the consumer - that would mean charging a lot more for coffee, people won’t pay it. The likes of Starbucks and Costa can, because they have economies of scale. The independent doesn’t. Now the little socialist will say well this is your fault, if you can’t run a business that can afford to pay its staff properly, but the little socialist has never run a business and does not understand the dynamics. Now I could pay some staff off and fill those hours myself or reduce us to one staff member during certain periods - but this proves the point that a minimum wage costs jobs. There was a time when these jobs were done by kids, perhaps on the weekend, paid a lower wage, no holiday and no silly employment rights. Perhaps they were even paid cash. The dynamic worked and small businesses like this could operate. It was also a great first job. Sadly now it isn’t worth employing entitlement youngsters at this level of pay. So alas, I don’t need the stress, the business would close, a number of jobs would be lost. Economics is about understanding these dynamics, no vibes. The cost of living is not solved through passing on inflation to the business, it is solved by ending high inflation and creating prosperity. This is what socialists don’t understand, they can’t create prosperity, they can only destroy it.

I'm failing to see the fault with this answer? Economic uncertainty and high food costs were exactly what led to fascism in Germany in the 30's, as it was presented as the solution. Anyone with a cursory knowledge of history knows this. Why are you being willfully obtuse?
Chris Rose@ArchRose90

Audience member: Can you specify where the racial hatred is coming from? Rachel Millward: Rip off Britain, rising food prices and energy bills. Nobody decided to target Jews because they paid more for their bread. Greens are an unserious, cowardly party.

I know the Forest/Villa aspect is very fun and cool but UEFA have really torched the Europa League’s competitive balance by no longer having Champions League teams drop down. Hard to see how it doesn’t end up with several PL teams in semi finals every year.

I have zero info but maybe a💡 moment realization. What’s better than one site fee for WrestleMania? Two. That’s what I think Nick was teasing with “wait until you see.” I’d guess municipalities would want some exclusivity. So maybe something like Nashville and London?

It's clear now that we live in a society, in Britain, divided into two sets of people. You have those who don't believe that police officers should be allowed to kick incapacitated suspects, on the ground, in the head repeatedly. And then you have the cunts.

It's time we taxed the super-rich fairly and built an affordable country for everyone. It's time we put people and planet, not corporate profit, at the heart of Scottish politics. Let's demand better. Vote Scottish Greens.

@heraldscotland Yes, he went out and made something of himself. We want Scottish people to achieve things, its what we should aspire to do. Scotland has too many people that view success as something to be ashamed of.

For any constituents , it now seems important to clarify: - I own 0 houses - I own 0 cars - I own 0 yachts I’m not sure we need more politicians boasting about how rich they are to be honest.

If we don’t win our next 2 games the attendance against Hibs in the final home game of season will tell exactly what the overall support thinks of Rohl. If we are in Conference League next season there is only one man that can sell Ibrox out

They played their 3 weeks ago in the carabao cup final. They will play their again in 3 weeks in the FA cup final. It would cost over £1,000 for someone to attend all these games and get the train to and from London (if it’s running) There’s 2 options to address this. 1) Have the semi final in a neutral non London venue. 2) Invest in our countries infrastructure to bring reduce train tickets to people. Other countries get it - most have discounted tickets for nationals 🇩🇪 Germany — €63/month Deutschlandticket. 13 million subscribers. Just extended to 2030. 🇦🇹 Austria — €1,300/year for every train, tram and bus in the country. 🇭🇺 Hungary — €49/month nationwide. 90% off for students. We’ve made travelling to your own capital a luxury good. Those empty red seats aren’t a football problem. They’re a national productivity problem. Every empty seat is a Mancunian priced out of watching their own team in their own country’s cup final at their own national stadium.

📍 Wembley Man City end today 👀 A lot of empty seats for a semi-final… 👇 What’s the reason?
